About the Job

Requirements

  • A body of work in film, series or episodic work, commercials, music videos, short films, branded or short-form content, alongside AI-native work.
  • Deep understanding of visual storytelling, including story structure, plot, pacing, shot design, blocking, performance and editing.
  • Command of cinematography fundamentals, including cameras, lenses, lighting, colour, grading, composition and camera movement, and the ability to direct them precisely in a prompt.
  • Hands-on experience with generative video models and their practical behavior, and with the image models that feed them.
  • Prompting skill for video, including motion description, camera control, identity and style preservation, and first/last-frame and reference-driven workflows.
  • End-to-end post-production capability in editing, grading and sound, and the ability to run a full production cycle alone.
  • Awareness of internet culture and what makes cinematic content travel.
  • Judgment to maintain a quality bar, including on one's own work.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and produce cinematic AI content end to end, from concept, story and shot list through generation, editing, sound and final delivery.
  • Build multi-shot sequences with consistent characters, wardrobe, world, lighting and geography across cuts.
  • Design each shot deliberately, including lens, framing, blocking, lighting, colour and grade, and camera movement.
  • Create hero shots and set pieces that anchor launches, as well as showcases demonstrating stylistic range.
  • Define cinematic directions, including camera moves, lighting setups, film stocks, genre looks, transitions and visual effects beats, specified clearly enough to be productised.
  • Prototype new cinematic capabilities and demonstrate what is possible before they become features.
  • Set and document the quality bar for shipped video work.
  • Test each new video model on release, report on strengths, failure modes, prompt behavior, motion quality and temporal consistency, and track developments in AI filmmaking.

Desired Qualifications

  • Background in visual effects, animation, motion design, concept art or 3D, including Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Nuke or Unreal.
  • Experience directing hybrid productions combining live footage with generative work.
  • Experience with ComfyUI or node-based video pipelines, and LoRA or character-consistency training.
  • Interest in shaping AI creative tools rather than only using them.
  • A public presence as an AI filmmaker or creator.
