Requirements
  • A law degree is required.
  • Generally, five or more years of business principles, banking, legal and compliance knowledge directly related to the subject matters and products, experience directly related to the financial industry, banking exposure or regulatory knowledge, and overall work or practical experience and/or academic background are required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring that Compliance Solutions content complies with federal laws and regulations, other governing authority requirements, and industry best practices, and creates enforceable legal instruments.
  • Assist in ensuring that products and solutions meet the needs of current and prospective clients and business partners.
  • Assist in defining product functionality, including language, data, software functionality, product and release documentation, and market-required business rules.
  • Assist in identifying, creating, and maintaining required data, including its structure and metadata, to drive compliant and warranted product functionality.
  • Assist in conducting product testing and review to evaluate changes and ensure development work conforms to defined product requirements.
  • Assist in providing support for internal and external inquiries about assigned product matters.
  • Proactively educate internal staff, business partners, and clients on product design, upcoming product updates and development efforts, and industry trends.
  • Participate in product team initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret applicable federal and state statutes, regulations, agency guidance, case law, enforcement trends, and industry best practices affecting Compliance Solutions products.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on product content, legal instruments, disclosures, business rules, calculations, data fields, workflows, documentation, and client-facing functionality.
  • Analyze Research Engine alerts and identify required changes to products and solutions.
  • Monitor the quality of Research Engine alerts and suggest improvements to ensure applicable legal and regulatory requirements are covered.
  • Assess market demand, competitive products, and related industry developments and suggest product changes and new opportunities.
  • Analyze the priority of identified changes and communicate proposed changes and priorities to the Team Lead.
  • Review and analyze applicable legal and regulatory resources and communicate with clients, internal staff, and business partners about legal, regulatory, industry-best-practice, and product questions or issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and implement changes to existing products and content, and identify new products and content that support diversification and profitability.
  • Review and respond to logged issues and pending requests for changes in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate feasibility and define the business case for new product functionality before initiating a product change.
  • Analyze how business-partner integration methods relate to requested changes and product updates.
  • Analyze product information from functional groups, business partners, clients, competitive offerings, and emerging industry trends.
  • Participate in discussions with clients, internal staff, and business partners to understand the ramifications of each change request.
  • Draft clear and concise written product requirements describing required functionality and content.
  • Define the full scope of product changes or updates to ensure requirements are complete and timely.
  • Identify product requirement issues and blockers requiring resolution from or affecting other functional groups, and escalate critical issues.
  • Identify impacted product components and specify the required change for each component.
  • Identify transaction scenarios where product updates apply and ensure they are covered in written requirements.
  • Create accurate product documentation, including change records, for internal and external users.
  • Complete all required information in product requirement templates in a timely manner.
  • Address product-requirement modifications arising from quality-control tests and transaction analysis.
  • Understand how data is used within assigned products and its effect on related transactions.
  • Create and maintain data and associated metadata, including labels, short help, long help, and mapping paths, in accordance with data-management conventions and required processes.
  • Analyze data usage and identify data conflicts within or across product libraries and inappropriate use of data across products.
  • Collaborate to resolve data conflicts identified during product implementation and testing.
  • Collaborate with the quality-control team to identify product test-case scenarios needed to fully evaluate product requirements.
  • Identify product-specific scenarios for use cases and ensure correct results are generated.
  • Validate product development and change implementations for conformance with requirements, identifying breaks in outcomes or product behavior.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues raised by clients or functional groups, including determining the risk exposure of script or software limitations.
  • Conduct transaction testing for assigned product changes and updates.
  • Review and address logged and pending change requests regularly and professionally.
  • Draft communications explaining the issue, solution, and impact of decisions on the product.
  • Manage assigned issue requests and inform staff or clients of outstanding-issue status when appropriate.
  • Create accurate and informative product-change documentation for external users.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create product documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop subject-matter training for internal and external users.
  • Inform internal staff about legal and regulatory changes, industry trends, and other information that may lead to product-design changes.
  • Provide content for the Community Lounge, Compliance Solutions quarterly newsletter, and other publications demonstrating product, subject-matter, and industry expertise.
  • Create, manage, and execute project plans aligned with project objectives and milestones.
Desired Qualifications
  • Being licensed to practice law is preferred.
  • Familiarity or specific experience with consumer and commercial lending, mortgage lending, electronic banking, privacy, adverse action, disclosures, and financial institution compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Experience with laws and regulations such as the Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and Regulation X, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and Regulation C, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices, Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering requirements, state lending and usury laws, and applicable guidance from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve, National Credit Union Administration, and state regulators is preferred.

Tangenesis launches TruStage payment protection integration for Temenos with real-time quotes

Tangenesis has launched Version 3.0 of its TruStage Payment Protection Integration for Temenos Virtual Capture, enabling real-time insurance quoting and instant purchasing within the Temenos platform. The integration is designed for credit unions using Temenos and its Virtual Capture solution. The new version allows credit union members to receive real-time quotes for TruStage lending insurance products and complete purchases instantly through a digital interface. The system uses API-driven connectivity to automate workflows and reduce operational overhead. According to TruStage research, 80% of borrowing consumers would likely opt for payment protection products, but fewer than half recall being offered them. The integration embeds these options directly into the loan process. Version 3.0 is immediately available to Temenos clients using Tangenesis Virtual Capture.

TruStage reported strong 2025 financial performance with over $6.1 billion in revenue, $312 million in net income and $36.1 billion in assets under management. The insurance and financial services provider maintained strong ratings from AM Best (A), S&P (A+) and Moody's (A2). The company paid over $2.6 billion in total benefits across 42 million consumers and became the fourth largest life insurance provider in the US by policy count. TruStage Ventures expanded to 67 portfolio companies with over $400 million in total investment. The TruStage Foundation invested $3.9 million in communities through more than 100 non-profits, whilst employees registered 8,600 volunteer hours and raised $640,000 for charitable organisations. The company has been named to Forbes' Best Insurance Companies list for four consecutive years.
