T-Mobile stock could hit $226.72 in three years, a 44.4% gain from $157.03

T-Mobile US shares could be worth about $226.72 in three years, against $157.03 at the October 15, 2026 close, according to a Trefis scenario. That would be a 44.4% gain before dividends and return the stock to its highest close of the past year. The stock fell 30.1% over the year to October 15, 2026, dividends included, while the S&P 500 gained 17.9%. It trades at 16.2 times earnings, below its 21.9 average over the last twelve fiscal quarter-ends. The scenario assumes revenue rises from $92.2 billion to $117 billion, and earnings from $10.6 billion to $13.6 billion. Higher sales would drive 64.6% of the gain; a higher price-to-earnings ratio would account for most of the rest. Revenue grew 9.7% in the twelve months to June 2026. Postpaid service revenue rose 13% in fiscal Q2 2026.

CSL Group acquires SIMPL Wireless to bring Critical Connectivity(R) to North America.

CSL Group acquires SIMPL Wireless to bring Critical Connectivity(R) to North America. Oct 16, 2026, 07:00 ET Adding multi-carrier eSIM, a unified connectivity management platform and Tier-1 US carrier partnerships to CSL's global IoT connectivity platform LONDON and DULUTH, Ga., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - CSL Group, the leading global provider of Critical Connectivity(R), has acquired SIMPL Wireless, the US-based IoT eSIM connectivity provider. The acquisition gives CSL a North American home and gives customers connectivity that is simple, fast and fully under their control, within a single, resilient connectivity service. As IoT estates grow across borders, enterprises need to manage every SIM, contract and network from one place. Unified management lowers cost and speeds deployment, while multi-network resilience keeps devices connected when a network goes down. The acquisition, CSL's second in 2026 following IoTM Solutions in July, strengthens CSL's ability to help customers build resilient IoT estates - with the uptime and operational control that life, mission and business-critical applications demand. Simple. Fast. Yours. SIMPL's promise is simple, fast and yours: connectivity that goes live quickly, runs on the SIMs, APNs, hardware and carrier contracts customers already have, and keeps them in control of every connection. EverSIM, its multi-carrier eSIM built on unmodified, GSMA SAS-certified Thales eUICC infrastructure and native to SGP.22 and SGP.32, gives customers the option to buy connectivity from SIMPL or bring their own from up to 100 mobile network operators, with 5G Standalone support, backward-compatible to NB-IoT. A single SIM SKU carries a native primary carrier profile, and customers can localise anywhere by downloading local profiles over the air, with backup profiles that step in automatically if the primary network goes down and hand back when it returns. Compass, its single-pane-of-glass platform, gives customers one dashboard and one API to activate, monitor and manage SIMPL SIMs alongside existing carrier SIMs, with automated self-healing via auto-profile fallback. Historically, enterprise eSIM deployments have taken a year or more because of platform integrations, carrier certifications and custom development. EverSIM compresses that timeline to days, enabling customers to move quickly from proof of concept to production while maintaining centralised oversight. Speed, simplicity, control - it just works. With established partnerships including T-Mobile and Thales, SIMPL serves Solution Providers and Resellers in addition to customers across retail, transport, energy and EV charging. This gives CSL an immediate US customer base, local go-to-market capability and Tier-1 carrier relationships. Combined with CSL's patented rSIM(R) multi-network resilience and IoTM's connectivity orchestration, SIMPL completes a single operating model for customers: manage every SIM and eSIM, and stay online when a network fails. Jason Morrow, CEO of SIMPL Wireless, said: "SIMPL was built on three ideas: speed, simplicity and control. IoT connectivity should be fast to activate, run on what customers already have, and stay theirs to control - it should just work. Joining CSL Group puts that on a platform engineered for uptime and backed by three decades of critical connectivity expertise. For our customers, nothing changes on day one except what we can now offer them." The SIMPL team will join CSL Group, and SIMPL will continue to serve its existing customers, carriers and partners - as SIMPL Wireless, a CSL Group company. Expanding CSL in North America CSL already delivers managed IoT connectivity and patented rSIM(R) resilience across more than three million connections in building security, healthcare, infrastructure, utilities and transport. SIMPL gives CSL the US base, carrier relationships and local team to bring that capability to North American customers. Together, CSL, IoTM and SIMPL enable customers to deploy globally, connect with confidence, automate SIM and eSIM lifecycle management and keep critical devices online as their estates grow. Ed Heale, CEO of CSL Group, commented: "Customers shouldn't have to choose between flexibility and resilience. Bringing SIMPL into CSL Group gives us a home in North America and a platform that lets customers connect anywhere, with the certainty critical applications require." Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. About CSL Group CSL Group is the world's leading provider of Critical Connectivity(R). IntelliXR launches its platform for eye and brain biomarkers.

IntelliXR launches its platform for eye and brain biomarkers. Oct 16, 2026 IntelliXR brings together the Ocunur headset, an SDK and API, and IntelliMDM, giving research and product teams one platform to capture, manage, and study eye and brain biomarkers at clinical scale. United States, October 17, 2026 - IntelliXR, the platform for eye and brain biomarkers from CitrusBits, today announced its official launch. The platform unites the Ocunur headset, an SDK and API, and IntelliMDM fleet management, so teams developing diagnostic, monitoring, and research applications can start from a single medical-grade foundation. The launch follows IntelliXR's soft launch at the Ophthalmology Futures European Forum in London in September, where the platform was presented to clinicians, investors, and industry leaders by Gaurav Malik. Eye movements, pupil responses, and visual function are emerging as measurable signals of neurological and ophthalmic health. Capturing them reliably requires precise hardware, consistent software, and data handling that meets clinical standards. IntelliXR brings these together in three layers. The Ocunur headset captures the raw signal through binocular eye tracking, up to 3,000 nits of display brightness, and a dedicated patient response controller. The SDK and API provide one integration point for eye tracking, pupillometry, stimulus presentation, perimetry, and privacy controls. IntelliMDM manages headsets across sites, handling security, configuration, and over-the-air updates. Regulatory groundwork is already in place across ISO 13485, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and FDA readiness. The platform is already proven in clinical use. RadiusXR delivers FDA-cleared, head-mounted visual field testing on the IntelliXR stack, with a 0.94 correlation to the clinical gold standard in the NOVA Trial and now supports more than 10,000 users across 2,000 clinics. RadiusXR was also recognized as a CES 2023 Honoree. IntelliXR serves researchers studying eye movements and visual function, solution builders developing diagnostic and monitoring applications, pharma and biotech teams running studies with eye-based endpoints, CROs managing multi-site trials, and device makers adding eye and brain measurement to their products. "The science of eye and brain biomarkers is moving quickly, but capturing those signals consistently across devices, sites, and studies has held many teams back," said Gaurav Malik, Chief Commercial Officer at CitrusBits. "IntelliXR gives them a medical-grade foundation from day one, so the next diagnostic or research tool can reach patients in months rather than years." About IntelliXR IntelliXR is the platform for eye and brain biomarkers, uniting the Ocunur headset, an SDK and API, and IntelliMDM in one medical-grade platform. Developed by CitrusBits, which has 18 years of experience in healthcare technology, IntelliXR serves researchers, solution builders, pharma and biotech teams, CROs, and device makers across ophthalmology, neurology, and adjacent clinical fields, with a mission to serve 1 million patients over the next five years. Verizon CTO: 6G needs a breakthrough for AI uplink demand.

Verizon CTO: 6G needs a breakthrough for AI uplink demand. Verizon CTO Yago Tenorio says industry is 'missing a breakthrough' in 6G for uplink capacity as future AI applications change network traffic patterns. October 14, 2026 The expectation that AI is going to reverse decades of wireless traffic patterns with devices sending more data back to the network has sparked a rethink on uplink capacity for 6G. As the standards take shape, Verizon hopes new ideas will address what could be a capacity crunch for AI-fueled data uploads. Mobile networks are designed to deliver faster download speeds by dedicating as much bandwidth as possible to downstream connections to users and far less for upstream data coming from the other direction. Typical downlink-to-uplink ratios are 9:1 or 8:2. But AI could change all that. Verizon envisions AI usage shifting from transactional prompts and answers to future applications needing "continuous contextual awareness" that would drive the downlink-uplink ratio to be more like 1:1. Speaking at RCR Wireless' 6G Forum, Verizon chief technology officer Yago Tenorio described the scenario as a device would send information about a user's reality through sensing, video or audio on a real-time, continuous basis to "your AI agent of choice" in the cloud or network edge. But sometimes those devices will be AI wearables, like smart glasses, that are limited by size, power, heat dissipation and how many antennas can realistically be added. "Everything puts pressure on the uplink. You need more capacity, but the device is less capable," said Tenorio. He noted there are some techniques that can help, pointing to "sub-band full duplex" as an example among others. While confident the industry can come up with other ideas, his comments suggest some bigger thinking is needed to avoid an "uplink crisis." "We're missing a breakthrough that will probably have to go all the way down to the architecture...There is a very real uplink demand that I don't think we can satisfy just with incremental improvement," he said. Time to think about decoupling? For one of the concepts being discussed, he posed, "Can we think of a full decoupling of uplink and downlink? And a deployment that is much more pervasive of uplink receivers everywhere that are listening and are close to the customer...reducing and relieving the uplink for the device?" "It's just an example. Maybe it's not needed. Maybe it's not practical. We'll see about it," he added. The decoupling idea is that different frequency bands can be used for downlink or uplink, according to a recent Ericsson blog. For example, midband spectrum for downstream and perhaps lowband for upstream. Rather than assigning portions of the same band to uplink and downlink, decoupling is like giving them each their own "highway," Akhil Gokul, VP, head of technology at Ericsson, told Light Reading earlier this year at Network X Americas. T-Mobile is looking into uplink/downlink decoupling as an upcoming 6G feature. At Network X in Dallas, Egil Grönstad, senior director of technology development and strategy, said of the concept that "you can have more flexibility on how you're pairing spectrum that I think will be very helpful, where we can select whatever is the best spectrum, downlink versus uplink, so it's not that fixed ratio." He also said it might be worth examining whether it is possible to use unlicensed spectrum as a way "to get more uplink capacity, especially for fixed applications," such as fixed wireless or use cases like camera monitoring. In its 5G-Advanced network, T-Mobile has been rolling out features to boost uplink, including uplink carrier aggregation, uplink MIMO and transmit switching. Verizon is also working on 5G uplink. A test by Signals Research Group of Verizon's 5G standalone network, where it had implemented Ericsson's 32T32R massive MIMO radios, showed marked uplink improvement. Meanwhile, AT&T indicated that adding upstream capacity was part of the reasoning behind acquiring EchoStar's 600MHz lowband spectrum. The carrier plans to deploy Ericsson's dual-band 600MHz radios that feature "uplink-enhancing 8RX [i.e., eight receiver] technology," which was said to be a first for lowbands. Building 6G up from the use case. For Verizon's Tenorio, uplink is part of the equation for enabling future services. The carrier is determined that with this generation, unlike 5G, the use cases should come first rather than the technical capabilities. "We have the opportunity to design 6G with use cases in mind...as opposed to just specify it from speed and latency and performance, and then hoping that the use cases will make use of it," he said. The carrier expanded its 6G Innovation Forum last month with nine new members and highlighted trials with integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) and AI wearables, aimed at pinning down requirements for use cases. "What we have in front of us is a lot of questions that we need to ask and we need to find answers for. We have the opportunity to shape 6G so that it hits the ground running, and it enables use cases that are going to be the successful ones and the ones that we can monetize as an industry and the ones that add value...We have precious two years in front of us," he said.
