- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient function and protect patient health and safety.
- Have one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Hold an additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification, where preferred for the specific unit.
- Meet visual color acuity requirements, depending on the role in specific units.
