About the job

Requirements
  • Personally run user acquisition, commercial, or rewards operations in Germany.
  • Set direction and hold a function accountable for delivery without managing it, including a user acquisition team, creative agency, or Product roadmap.
  • Be comfortable being measured on acquisition, product, and commercial outcomes.
  • Have native German and current, lived understanding of German consumer behaviour, competitive dynamics, and business culture.
  • Have experience in rewarded, loyalty, offerwall, or performance ad tech, with fluency in value-based bidding, the mobile measurement partner and attribution stack, and iOS measurement constraints such as SKAdNetwork and Advanced Ads Measurement.
  • Be based in Europe and spend regular time in Germany.
Responsibilities
  • Own Germany’s iOS launch readiness on the ground, including catalog seeding, store presence, user acquisition, Product, and creative components.
  • Set audience priorities and return thresholds for German user acquisition and hold the existing EMEA user acquisition team accountable to them.
  • Secure Product capacity for Germany from a centralized team by making the case and continuing to advocate for it.
  • Diagnose downstream funnel issues after installation and work with Product and the agency to resolve them, using cohort economics, payback curves, and channel-level yield measurement.
  • Direct the German creative agenda through the internal team and creative agency, including test priorities, required local nuance, performance read-outs, and expansion into high-average-revenue-per-user genres such as Strategy and role-playing games.
  • Track the health of the German advertiser catalog with Commercial, identify gaps early, and push for fixes so returning and new partners connect with real player liquidity.
  • Push to integrate webshop and direct-to-consumer payment data into performance reporting to measure existing margin accurately.
  • Monitor the German offer and reward mix, including non-gaming inventory, identify underperformance, and work with the non-gaming supply team on fixes to increase revenue per player.
  • Build the case for expansion into Austria and Switzerland once Germany proves successful, and partner with the General Manager, EMEA, on transferring direct operational control of each lever as results support the model.

About the company

Mistplay runs a loyalty platform for mobile gamers. It helps casual gamers discover new games and stay engaged by earning Units—points earned simply by playing games—that can be redeemed for rewards such as gift cards. The app also features weekly contests, leaderboards, and in-app social tools so users can see friends’ activity and chat with each other. Revenue comes from partnerships with game developers who pay to feature their games and advertisers who reach the audience through in-app ads and promotions. Unlike other mobile-gaming apps that only show ads or pure discovery, Mistplay combines personalized game discovery with a robust rewards system and social features to motivate ongoing play. The goal is to keep users engaged and returning to the platform by rewarding continued gaming and connecting players with developers and advertisers.

At Liftoff, Roussil spent over four years as senior vice president of strategic finance, managing company-wide financial and operational initiatives. Mistplay launches Audience Network following strategic acquisitions.

Mistplay launches Audience Network following strategic acquisitions. Mistplay has launched the Mistplay Audience Network, designed to expand the scale and reach of rewarded advertising across the mobile ecosystem. The launch follows Mistplay's recent acquisitions of Connected Rewards(TM), formerly part of Mobivity, and MyChips from MAF. Both are now integrated into the company's LoyaltyPlay platform, creating a unified offering that gives gaming advertisers access to new and incremental audiences across a global network of apps. Rewarded advertising has continued to grow as publishers look for stronger engagement and monetization models. With the Mistplay Audience Network, the company combines its owned-and-operated inventory with supply from Connected Rewards(TM) and MyChips, extending reach to tens of millions of monthly active users across consumer app categories including finance, shopping, fuel, convenience, and restaurants. The network is designed to support both publishers and brands through LoyaltyPlay, allowing publishers to integrate rewarded gameplay and in-app activities into existing experiences. The system enables users to earn real-world rewards while supporting deeper engagement, retention, and lifetime value. "We've spent the last decade building Mistplay with a clear intention: to create a rewarded ecosystem that works for everyone. This isn't about following a trend, it's about applying years of insight from advertisers and partners to build something more scalable, more effective, and more balanced. Bringing these all together allows us to deliver stronger outcomes across the platform." Aaron Thandi, CCO of Mistplay, described the launch as part of a longer-term strategy for the company. "This wasn't two deals. It was two pieces of a strategy we've been building toward for years. We've taken a patient, deliberate approach. From launching LoyaltyPlay to acquiring Connected Rewards(TM) and MyChips, each step has been focused on expanding what rewarded advertising can do. The Mistplay Audience Network is the result, a unified system built for scale and simpler advertiser access." The combined network spans North America, Europe, and Asia. Mistplay will officially debut the Mistplay Audience Network at MAU Vegas 2026, taking place between May 19-21.

Mistplay acquires MAF's MyChips to expand global rewarded advertising network

Mistplay, a play-and-earn rewards platform for mobile gamers, has acquired MyChips SRL, a subsidiary of MAF, to expand its global rewarded advertising network. Financial terms were not disclosed. MyChips operates across hundreds of apps in North America, APAC and Europe, providing advertisers access to new audiences. The platform will integrate into Mistplay's LoyaltyPlay network, expanding rewarded experiences and delivering high-intent users to advertisers. Founded in 2016, MAF pioneered playtime rewards on iOS and claims to deliver up to 20% higher eCPMs than traditional methods. The MyChips platform remains operational, with teams across Europe and APAC joining Mistplay. Montreal-based Mistplay was founded in 2015 and uses AI to drive growth and engagement through its play-and-earn model.

Mistplay acquires Mobivity's Connected Rewards to bridge mobile gaming with real-world loyalty

Mistplay has agreed to acquire Mobivity's Connected Rewards platform and related assets, with the deal expected to close in early Q1 2026. The acquisition will expand Mistplay's LoyaltyPlay business by integrating real-world brand offers into mobile gaming experiences. Connected Rewards links mobile engagement with offline purchasing moments, whilst LoyaltyPlay remains the main rewards hub for monetisation. Together, the platforms aim to create an omnichannel toolkit spanning digital and real-world engagement, enabling brands to combine gaming rewards with physical retail incentives. Mistplay plans to expand its rewards and engagement solutions beyond gaming into sectors including fintech and e-commerce. CEO Tricia Han said the acquisition will help brands build loyalty across multiple customer touchpoints, from in-app experiences to real-world interactions.
