Plans called to raze Pineville Italian restaurant, then move in a chicken chain. Updated October 26, 2026 5:55 PM Gift Article UPDATE: Plans to demolish an existing restaurant to make room for a new Raising Cane's in Pineville were "withdrawn" Oct. 26, although other permits for the site remain pending. CharlotteFive has reached out to the chain for an update and is awaiting a response. The original story is below. Less than a year after its debut, Raising Cane's is plotting its next Charlotte-area restaurant. The popular chicken finger chain is headed to Pineville, with plans to build a new outpost at Carolina Place from the ground up, Mecklenburg County records show. The existing site at 10915 Carolina Place Pkwy will be bulldozed to make way for Raising Cane's, according to a demolition permit, though it's unclear when. The space was formerly home to Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. "Trash enclosures, site lighting, parking" and paving at the site will also be removed, records show. CharlotteFive reached out to Raising Cane's for more information Monday, Oct. 26, and was awaiting a response. It would mark the chain's second metro Charlotte location. The first opened just across the state line in Rock Hill in February, taking over the space where a former Bob Evans restaurant once stood, CharlotteFive reported. Raising Cane's also has planned restaurants in nearby Concord and Gastonia, both slated to open in 2027, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. What to know about Raising canes. Chicken fingers are the star of Raising Cane's menu, served alongside crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and Texas Toast.
