Technical Sales Engineer - Energy Storage Systems
About the job
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, power system engineering, or equivalent is required.
- Three to five years of experience with Energy Storage Systems and excellent technical knowledge of Energy Storage Systems and system integration are required.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Ability to specify customer requirements to the business development manager, solution management, and development team is required.
- Ability to manage daily tasks independently and as part of an international team is required.
- Customer focus, good communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and possession of a driving license are required.
- Work closely with the sales team to support the sales process by providing technical expertise and product knowledge to specific clients in an account or industry.
- Understand client requirements and pain points to propose products or solutions that address client needs.
- Collaborate with sellers to develop technical proposals, respond to requests for proposals, and negotiate terms and conditions from a technical perspective through hands-on, customized, experiential selling.
- Provide deep product and solution knowledge with industry know-how, and work with the marketing team to provide technical simulations demonstrating company capabilities in specific business scenarios.
- Support customer relationship management and drive deal closure by demonstrating product value and feasibility and building technical value as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Bridge customers' technical requirements with the solution management and development teams for short-term fixes or long-term solution enhancements.
- Support customer project site surveys with the technical team, partners, and customers.
- Monitor local grid codes, legislation, standards, and market trends, and identify new market opportunities.
- Installation experience or a certificate to work in 1000 VAC and 1500 VDC is an advantage.
