Infosys opens new facility, adds 10,000 seats at Pocharam campus.

Infosys opens new facility, adds 10,000 seats at Pocharam campus. Infosys has expanded its Hyderabad operations with the inauguration of a new 1.1 million sq. ft. Software Development Block at its Pocharam campus. The new facility adds 10,000 seats and is designed to support an additional workforce of more than 13,000 employees under a hybrid working model. The facility was inaugurated on October 30, 2026, in the presence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, and Infosys Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka. The expansion strengthens Infosys' presence in Telangana and adds infrastructure to support its growing work in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, engineering and digital services. Infosys expands Pocharam Development Centre. Spread across 450 acres, the Pocharam Development Centre currently has seven software development blocks with approximately 4.58 million sq. ft. of built-up area. The newly inaugurated block will be an additional facility at the campus. According to Infosys, the new block will add 10,000 seats and enable the company to support more than 13,000 additional employees under its hybrid working model. The development centre caters to global clients across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), retail, life sciences and manufacturing. The new infrastructure is expected to strengthen the company's delivery capabilities in emerging technology areas as global businesses increase their focus on AI and digital services. Importantly, the additional workforce capacity should not be interpreted as a confirmed commitment to recruit 13,000 employees. Infosys has not announced a specific hiring target or recruitment timeline linked to this expansion. Focus on sustainability and employee facilities. The new building includes several sustainability features, such as: * Energy-efficient radiant cooling systems and smart lighting. * Rainwater harvesting and wastewater reuse. * Workspaces designed to maximise natural daylight. * Flexible work areas, collaborative spaces and employee wellness facilities. These features are intended to improve energy efficiency and provide a better working environment for employees. What the expansion means for hiring. The expansion adds to Infosys' infrastructure capacity in Hyderabad at a time when technology companies are increasing their focus on AI, cloud computing and cybersecurity. For the HR industry, the development raises the possibility of additional workforce requirements in software development, engineering, AI and digital services. However, the company has not disclosed how many new employees it plans to recruit for the expanded facility or when any such hiring will take place. The expansion is therefore an addition to Infosys' operational capacity rather than an announcement of a specific number of new jobs.

Canada's UNI Financial Cooperation taps Infosys Finacle in branch modernisation push. The two institutions first partnered in 2021 with UNI adopting Infosys Finacle to move its digital banking stack to the cloud. October 29, 2026 Canada-based UNI Financial Cooperation has deployed long-term partner Infosys Finacle's Finacle Universal Banker solution across its branches to bring "multiple branch banking functions into a more unified environment", according to a joint statement. Specifically, Finacle Universal Banker will enable UNI to "simplify branch operations and support more connected member experiences", the companies say. This includes providing tellers with a unified workspace designed to streamline branch transactions and helping employees access relevant context to better support members. The expanded partnership aligns with UNI's "one banker, many roles" modernisation strategy. Going forward, UNI states that it will work closely with the vendor to optimise its platform "as teams gain experience with the new environment and identify opportunities to further improve processes and the member and employee experience". The two organisations first began working together in 2021, when UNI adopted Infosys Finacle to move its digital banking stack to the cloud. Other banking institutions that have partnered with Infosys Finacle for digital banking upgrades include National Bank of Greece and Bank of Sydney. Headquartered in New Brunswick, UNI offers a range of retail and business financial services, including accounts, payments, loans, and wealth management. Since its establishment in 1936, UNI has grown to manage $5.3 billion in assets. Infosys shares shed ₹25,000 crore in market cap across two-day fall as AI trade rebounds. October 29, 2026 | 01:13 IST Friday, October 23 | Adani Power, Atul, BPCL, CG Power, Coforge, CRISIL, CSB Bank, Dr. Reddy's, GNA Axles, Godrej Properties, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, Jindal Steel, Jupiter Life Line Hospitals, Jana Small Finance Bank, JSW Steel, Mahindra Logistics, Mastek, Navkar Corp, NESCO, Newgen Software, Oracle Financial, Repro India, Shree Cement, Supreme Petrochem, Steel Strips Wheels, Sterlite Tech, Tata Motors CV, Torrent Pharma, TruAlt Bioenergy, UTI AMC, Westlife Developers. Shares of Infosys Ltd., the Bengaluru-based IT services provider, extended their losses for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, October 28. The stock has fallen 5.3% over these two sessions and has also shed over ₹25,000 crore in market capitalisation. Infosys is also the top loser in the Nifty IT index, which in turn is the top loser among sectoral indices in Wednesday's trading session. The index is down 3.6% with all 10 stocks trading with losses between 1% to 5%. IT stocks have witnessed profit booking over the last few sessions after the return of the AI trade in the global markets. The fall was further accelerated after SK Hynix reported its quarterly results earlier in the day, which showed that the AI trade is very much active. South Korea's chipmaker SK Hynix delivering a record quarterly revenue and operating profit as it beat estimates as the rising demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure drove up memory chip prices. Its operating profit surged 632.1% to 83.33 trillion won or $62.8 billion in the September quarter from last year. This was more than LSEG SmartEstimate of 76.72 trillion won. It reported a revenue of 104.62 trillion won or $78.86 billion in the quarter under review, up 327.9% from last year and exceeding analyst estimates of 98.34 trillion won. Its quarterly sales also crossed 100 trillion won for the first time ever. The stock surged over 10%, pushing the benchmark KOSPI index higher as well. A rise in investor enthusiasm for global hardware and semiconductor AI stocks has largely proven to be inversely proportional to the decline in Indian primarily software-driven IT services stocks. Infosys on AI, Q2 results and guidance cut. Infosys CEO Salil Parekh spoke to CNBC-TV18 after the company's second quarter results, on the growing contribution of AI to its revenue, a healthy large-deal pipeline and strong free cash flow. He added that Infosys remains a preferred AI partner for its top clients and the company is well-positioned to navigate the ongoing shift in the industry. Infosys reported its second quarter results on Friday, October 23. It cut its guidance for the entire financial year and now expects constant currency revenue growth to be 1% - 2% compared to the previous projection of 1.5%-3%. However, it maintained its EBIT margin guidance of 20%-22%. This is the second consecutive quarter of the company cutting its guidance as in the previous one too it had narrowed the upper end of the guidance range to 3% from 3.5%. The company attributed the guidance cut in the to a soft quarter, softer volumes and pricing pressures because of competitive intensity in the market. The management said it is only taking up deals that meets the company's economic guidelines and parameters. It also said Infosys is likely to witness margin pressure in the second half of FY27 because of wage hikes, which would be offset via Project Maximus. Infosys reported a relatively weak September quarter compared to its largecap peers as its CC revenue growth of 1.2% was lower than Street estimates of 1.4%. Its EBIT margins at 21% were also below the CNBC-TV18 poll of 21.3%. At least seven domestic brokerages downgraded the stock after its results. Stock reaction. Shares of Infosys are looking to recover from the lows of the day, currently trading 3.8% lower at ₹1,118.2. The stock is still up 11.5% in the last one month.

PlanSea, Infosys team up on ai-powered offshore decommissioning.

PlanSea, Infosys team up on ai-powered offshore decommissioning. Published Oct 27, 2026 8:25 am ET PlanSea and Infosys have joined forces to combine artificial intelligence (AI), marine logistics expertise and enterprise data integration to help offshore oil and gas operators optimize decommissioning planning and execution, targeting lower costs, improved vessel utilization and more efficient project schedules. The collaboration brings together PlanSea's AI-assisted marine planning environment and Infosys' data engineering, systems integration and AI capabilities to support decision-making across increasingly complex offshore decommissioning campaigns. PlanSea contributes expertise in marine logistics and decommissioning, alongside technology capable of modelling vessels, ports, weather conditions, operational tasks and dependencies, while Infosys provides enterprise data integration through its Topaz Fabric layer, connecting information across legacy systems and stakeholders. The combined approach allows operators to compare different decommissioning scenarios based on costs, emissions, vessel availability, schedule confidence and operational risks before committing resources. The partnership is designed to address growing challenges in offshore decommissioning, where specialist vessels, rigs, contractors and equipment must be coordinated across multiple projects, often within limited operational windows. UK offshore operators spent a record $3.5 billion (£2.6 billion) on decommissioning in 2025, with a further $28.3 billion (£21 billion) expected to be spent by 2032, according to the companies. PlanSea decom dashboard and operational output (Credit: PlanSea) Decommissioning accounts for 15% of total oil and gas spending on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), while limited vessel availability, rising regulatory requirements and fragmented engineering data are adding to planning pressures. The PlanSea - Infosys partnership aims to address these challenges by creating a shared planning environment that allows operators to evaluate resource allocation, vessel schedules and operational constraints across individual projects or larger portfolios. The collaboration also targets multi-operator and multi-location campaigns, enabling companies to coordinate the deployment of specialist marine assets and assess potential efficiencies across several decommissioning projects.
