Requirements
  • Must have knowledge of medical equipment maintenance actions, including technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul.
  • Must have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Must be a graduate of the Department of Defense Medical Equipment Repairers Course, be certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET), or have earned at least an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Equipment Technology.
  • Must have at least three years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  • Must pass a NACI background investigation and be able to acquire a CAC.
  • Must pass an NCIC investigation and scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance cycles on Medical Equipment Sets, including all maintenance actions.
  • Complete technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
  • Repair damaged medical equipment.
  • Overhaul medical equipment.
  • Use authorized Army Automation Systems, including the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Global Combat Support System (GCSS), and other systems specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D.
  • Technically inspect, repair, calibrate, and overhaul medical equipment.
  • Perform calibration and PMCS.
