Jade Biosciences develops and commercializes biologic therapies. It builds a pipeline of potentially best-in-class biologics and advances them from discovery to market, using research, development, and strategic collaborations. Its products are engineered biologics—lab-made medicines designed to interact with the body's systems to treat diseases for which there are unmet medical needs. The company differentiates itself through its backing from Paragon Therapeutics and Fairmount, and by leveraging Paragon’s discovery-stage assets to pursue a focused pipeline with potential partnerships and licensing opportunities. Its goal is to bring effective biologic treatments to patients, generate revenue from product sales, licensing deals, and partnerships, and protect patient data while working with compliant support providers.

Jade Biosciences appoints Dr. Mark Eisner to Board of Directors.

Jade Biosciences appoints Dr. Mark Eisner to Board of Directors. June 26, 2026 Dr. Mark Eisner Jade Biosciences (Nasdaq: JBIO) has appointed biopharmaceutical executive Dr. Mark Eisner to its board of directors, effective June 25, 2026, adding a veteran drug development leader as the clinical-stage biotechnology company advances its pipeline of antibody-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. Eisner brings more than 25 years of experience in clinical development, immunology and regulatory strategy, with a track record spanning early-stage research through global product approvals and commercialization. His appointment comes as Jade continues developing multiple antibody candidates targeting autoimmune disorders, including its lead program for immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. "We are pleased to welcome Dr. Eisner to the board," said Tom Frohlich, chief executive officer of Jade Biosciences. "Mark's biopharmaceutical executive experience and proven track record guiding innovative therapies from early clinical development through regulatory approval and global commercialization will be highly valuable as Jade rapidly advances its pipeline of antibody-based therapies for autoimmune diseases." Most recently, Eisner served as executive vice president and chief medical officer at Vir Biotechnology, where he led the company's clinical development, regulatory sciences and medical affairs organizations. Before that, he held chief medical officer positions at Sonoma Biotherapeutics and FibroGen. Earlier in his career, Eisner spent nearly 11 years at Genentech/Roche, ultimately serving as senior vice president and global head of product development for immunology, infectious disease and ophthalmology. In that role, he directed multinational clinical development programs and global regulatory submissions across several therapeutic areas, providing experience that aligns with Jade's strategy of advancing novel antibody therapies through clinical development. Prior to joining the biotechnology industry, Eisner was a professor of medicine and anesthesia at the University of California, San Francisco. "I am excited to join the Board of Directors at Jade as the Company rapidly advances its portfolio of potential best-in-class therapies for multiple autoimmune diseases," Eisner said. "Jade is well-positioned to address areas of substantial unmet need for patients, and I look forward to contributing as a board member to support the impact." Jade Biosciences is developing therapies for autoimmune diseases where treatment options remain limited. Its lead clinical candidate, JADE101, targets the cytokine APRIL and is currently being evaluated for the treatment of immunoglobulin A nephropathy, a chronic kidney disease driven by abnormal immune system activity. The company's broader pipeline also includes JADE201, an afucosylated anti-BAFF-R monoclonal antibody, and JADE301, an undisclosed antibody program. Jade was launched around assets licensed from Paragon Therapeutics, an antibody discovery company founded by Fairmount. By adding Eisner to its board, Jade strengthens its clinical and regulatory expertise as it advances multiple antibody programs through development, with a focus on translating promising immunology research into therapies for patients with autoimmune diseases.
