- Charge appropriately for supplies used and use appropriate examination codes.
- Take on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
- Continuously monitor patient condition and report or respond to changes in status as appropriate.

Memorial Hospital Miramar has opened a new outpatient facility in Florida, expanding access to diagnostic imaging and specialty care for the local community. The facility houses advanced imaging equipment including a 3T MRI and 256-slice CT scanner, alongside laboratory services, infusion care, women's imaging, and an outpatient surgical centre. The first floor provides most outpatient services, whilst the second floor accommodates the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Specialty Center and U18 Sports Rehab. Future floors are designated for the Memorial Cancer Institute and PET Imaging Center. The new CT scanner has increased daily patient capacity and reduced appointment wait times. The 3T MRI system features Deep Resolve AI software, which can reduce scan times by up to 73% for certain examinations.
Memorial Healthcare System has become the first healthcare provider in South Florida to dedicate a Siemens NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT scanner exclusively to cardiac imaging. The technology is located at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines. The scanner provides physicians with detailed views of coronary arteries, plaque, and heart abnormalities that conventional CT technology cannot capture. It uses less radiation than traditional systems whilst producing higher-resolution images. Memorial combines the scanner with HeartFlow FFRCT, an AI-enabled technology that creates three-dimensional models of patients' coronary arteries. This helps physicians assess whether blockages restrict blood flow, potentially reducing the need for invasive diagnostic procedures. The technology supports diagnosis of coronary artery disease, congenital heart conditions, valve disease, and helps evaluate bypass grafts and stents.
Memorial Healthcare System has opened the Douglas Road ER in Pembroke Pines, Florida, transforming a longtime 24/7 care centre into an expanded freestanding emergency room. The $52 million, 30,000-square-foot facility opens to the public in August 2026. Located at 801 S. Douglas Road, the emergency room features 41 treatment spaces, including dedicated paediatric and trauma rooms. The facility is equipped with advanced imaging capabilities including CT scans, X-rays and ultrasound, plus an on-site laboratory. The Douglas Road ER, together with Memorial's Red Road ER, is expected to serve more than 32,850 patients annually. The previous 24/7 care centre had evaluated over 800,000 patients in the past 15 years. The licensed emergency department operates 24/7 and connects patients to Memorial Healthcare System's broader network of hospitals and specialists.
Memorial Healthcare System in Broward County, Florida, has introduced the ExactVu micro-ultrasound platform to improve prostate cancer detection, becoming the first health system in the county to use the technology. The system is currently operational at Memorial Hospital West. The ExactVu platform operates at 29 MHz, significantly higher than traditional ultrasound's 6–12 MHz, providing clearer views of prostate tissue to guide more precise biopsies. The technology allows urologists to identify suspicious areas in real time, potentially streamlining diagnosis by eliminating the need for separate MRI appointments. According to Jonathan Silberstein, chief of urology at Memorial Healthcare System, the improved imaging enables focal therapy that treats cancerous tissue whilst preserving healthy prostate function. The American Cancer Society estimates 333,830 new prostate cancer cases will be diagnosed in the United States in 2026.

A group of eight retired nurses with more than 270 years of nursing experience have returned to train new graduate and specialty practice nurses.
