Requirements
  • A master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • The employee must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential from the Washington State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
  • The employee must have an unrestricted and valid driver's license, active car insurance, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work.
  • The employee must communicate and engage effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, education levels, and socioeconomic statuses.
  • The employee must be able to provide services in community settings, travel daily between locations, drive, traverse distances up to several city blocks and various terrains, navigate stairs, and frequently enter and exit vehicles.
  • The employee must use a computer daily.
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site support to Trueblood Class Members in emergency and transitional housing, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment and helping residents maintain or obtain appropriate housing.
  • Provide intensive case management and develop individualized recovery and service plans focused on housing stability, behavioral health, and community reintegration.
  • Provide crisis and hospital diversion services, including facilitating access to stabilization and emergency or transitional admissions.
  • Complete suicide and homicide risk assessments to determine the response needed to maintain client and community safety.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with behavioral health concerns, complete care plans, and provide assessments and referrals for outpatient or inpatient treatment.
  • Assist non-Medicaid individuals with accessing Medicaid and obtaining SOAR services.
  • Provide individual therapy and group services as appropriate.
  • Coordinate access to mental health, substance use, medical, and social services, and help clients identify and access needed resources.
  • Support clients in navigating legal obligations, including court appearances and compliance with diversion programs.
  • Identify and include clients' support networks in care coordination and collaborate with peer support specialists, healthcare providers, employment coaches, and community resources.
  • Provide consultation, training, and education to staff regarding behavioral health issues as assigned.
  • Maintain client records and other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner according to agency policies and practices.
  • Travel to see clients in the community and travel between work sites.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience working with psychiatrically impaired populations.
  • Experience in the criminal justice system.
