Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A hospitality background and experience with complex, multi-property setups are required.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role and previous supervisory experience are required.
  • At least two years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience are required.
  • At least two years of property management and homeowners association accounting experience are required.
  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis and forecasting is required.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance is required.
  • Experience with accounting systems, Microsoft Office, ProfitSword, Track PMS, Oracle, Breezeway, and Floqast is required.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet application skills and general computer proficiency are required.
  • Knowledge of general payroll functions is required.
  • Technical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask is required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, guests, and owners is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Help lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to departmental staff.
  • Perform income audit, Accounts Payable, and general accounting transactions.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including variance reports.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
  • Present financial reports to owners and homeowners associations.
  • Maintain and update month-end close checklists to improve accounting team efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree or Certified Public Accountant credential is preferred.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO. CoralTree Hospitality has appointed Jeff Knowlton as chief technology officer to lead the company's enterprise technology strategy, digital innovation and systems optimization across its portfolio. Knowlton brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and technology leadership, digital transformation, guest-facing platform enhancement and operational system modernization to his new role. He will oversee CoralTree's technology roadmap, focusing on improving guest experience, operational efficiency and scalable infrastructure to support the company's expansion. "Jeff's deep expertise at the intersection of hospitality and technology makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team," said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality. "As we continue to grow, his vision and leadership will be instrumental in delivering innovative, seamless, and data-driven guest experiences across our portfolio." Before joining CoralTree Hospitality, Knowlton most recently served as chief information officer at Peregrine Hospitality. Prior to that, he served in the same role at Sonesta Hotels International. Knowlton also held technology roles with the Pursuit Collection, Sage Hospitality and Vail Resorts. "I'm thrilled to join CoralTree Hospitality at such an exciting time in its growth," said Knowlton.
