Emergency Medicine Locum - Guysborough

Job Description

The Anita Foley Health Services Centre is seeking a locum physician to provide coverage for the Emergency department, Mildford Haven Nursing home (as needed) and inpatient coverage during a period of active recruitment.

Compensation is provided by the service, and locum physicians are eligible to access the travel elements of the program, including reimbursement for kilometrage(within the atlantic provinces), per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications

• College of Family Physicians of Canada Emergency Medicine certification would be considered an asset
• all applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
