CloudTalk's $40M funding masks mistakes but can't solve Slovakia's talent shortage

CloudTalk, one of Slovakia's largest startups, has raised $40 million in funding. Co-founder and CEO Martin Malych views the investment as a starting line rather than a finish line, noting that pressure only increases after securing funds. Malych warns that investor money can mask poor decisions for about 18 months. He emphasises that whilst funding can cover mistakes temporarily, the real challenge lies in attracting talent. The CEO criticises the Slovak tendency to celebrate investment rounds as final achievements, arguing they merely mark the beginning of greater challenges. CloudTalk, a communications platform company, now faces the task of scaling its operations and building the right team to justify investor confidence.

Unlocking Success: Leveraging Big Data For Business Growth

Big data is now a vital tool for achieving success in today’s business world. Companies that harness the power of big data can make well-informed decisions, enhance their operations, and gain a deeper understanding of customer behaviors. In a competitive marketplace, leveraging big data has become essential rather than optional. This trend is particularly evident as the business sector continues to expand across the United States. For instance, Michigan witnessed a significant 9.8% increase in its business sector in December 2022. This rise reflects a broader national trend where businesses are required to develop and maintain their competitive advantages often by leveraging data.To remain competitive, understanding and applying big data strategies is critical
