Requirements
  • A degree focused on Business Administration or Business Informatics, or professional experience in banking.
  • Several years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally in mobile banking or fintech.
  • Expertise and a deep understanding of designing and operationally implementing customer journeys.
  • Sound knowledge of project work and information technology process management, ideally involving digital customer interfaces and banking products or self-services.
  • Experience conceptualizing and implementing business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex ideas clearly and understandably.
  • Holistic thinking and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • A systematic and independent way of working combined with teamwork.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and an interest in sustainable solutions.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and sustainable product strategy for the Business Banking Customer Data product area.
  • Develop innovative features to improve operational efficiency and take responsibility for central customer-data solutions for Business Banking initiatives.
  • Develop processes for data reconciliation, deletion, changes, and other customer-data requirements.
  • Analyze and optimize all customer-data touchpoints across the customer journey to ensure a seamless and user-friendly customer experience.
  • Create synergies between personal and business banking segments, including resolving customer-data duplicate challenges.
  • Build and lead an agile team, manage sprints, and own the product backlog and prioritization.
  • Monitor compliance requirements, ensure data availability and consistency, act as the central contact for data access, manage data-model changes, and document data-related processes.
  • Manage data governance and operations, define data-quality metrics, and establish policies for secure and transparent data management.
  • Continuously ensure data quality through testing, validation, and improvements; create product-performance reports and analyses; and support KPI-based management.
  • Structure and prioritize daily tasks related to customer-data tools, define requirements, support incident management, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and drive process improvements.

ING profit surges 23% to $3.3B as Dutch bank upgrades outlook through 2027

Dutch financial services company ING reported a 23.2% increase in its second quarter pre-tax profit to €2.92 billion, up from €2.37 billion a year earlier. Net profit rose 16.2% to €1.95 billion. Total income reached €6.28 billion, a 10.2% increase from €5.70 billion last year. The company added 377,000 mobile primary customers during the quarter, bringing its mobile customer base to nearly 16 million. ING upgraded its 2026 outlook, expecting total income to exceed €24.5 billion. For 2027, the company anticipates total income to surpass €26 billion. Following the announcement, ING shares rose 2.24% to €29.40 on Euronext Amsterdam.
