As HiL and Requirements Coordinator – Drive Systems, you will combine two critical responsibilities in one role:

The inaugural Scout Harvester Festival will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. at the mixed-use hub near uptown at 300 Camp Road. Activities will include live music, local food tastings and an RC vehicle course. The event is to celebrate Scout's $207 million global corporate headquarters in Charlotte's Plaza Midwood neighborhood, which is expected to create 1,200 high-paying jobs for the region. Scout Motors will establish its headquarters in a 145,000-square-foot historic building at the Commonwealth development. The company expects to move into its first Commonwealth building in Plaza Midwood in early 2027. Built in the early 1910s off Commonwealth Avenue, Scout Motors will lease the rear portion of the property and partner with a developer to renovate it for vehicle engineering and research and development. The move will bring Scout Motor's teams and products together on one campus. What is Scout Motors? International Harvester built the original Scout from 1961 to 1980. It was one of the first vehicles designed for both off-road driving and everyday family use, earning a reputation as a rugged, versatile truck. In 2022, Volkswagen launched Scout Motors to revive the iconic brand with a new lineup of all-electric trucks and SUVs. Scouts rolling into Camp North End. Volkswagen has officially placed body-on-frame pickup trucks and rugged SUVs on its North American product agenda, marking the German automaker's most direct signal yet that it intends to compete in the segment that dominates US vehicle sales. The announcement came as part of a wider North American reset unveiled September 3. What Volkswagen announced. Volkswagen is exploring body-on-frame pickup trucks and rugged SUVs as part of a dedicated North American strategy, the latest example of how carmakers are increasingly relying on region-specific approaches to confront trade tensions and varying consumer appetites. In an official Volkswagen release, CEO Thomas Schäfer said "the brand will explore opportunities in the highly popular body-on-frame B-segment, including robust SUVs and pick-up trucks, as a potential component of Volkswagen's future product portfolio." Volkswagen declined to provide additional details on the size of its potential SUVs or trucks. If Volkswagen literally means a B-segment pickup, it would be targeting something closer in size to the Ford Maverick, which currently has the small truck market almost entirely to itself. Analysts note, however, that Volkswagen's description raises a question about size, since the "body-on-frame B-segment" label is unusual: B-segment typically refers to subcompact vehicles, and body-on-frame SUVs and pickups are not part of that category in the North American market. The Mountainside concept: A warmer, more refined Traveler The new Traveler Mountainside concept explores a more refined, premium expression of the Scout brand while preserving the Traveler SUV's unmistakable sense of adventure. Its design evokes the feeling of returning home after a long day outdoors: warm, welcoming, and built around authentic materials that become more personal with time. The Scout Motors' Color, Materials and Finishes team created the concept using rich natural tones, tactile surfaces, and thoughtfully selected details. The Morning Dusk exterior finish draws inspiration from the final light of golden hour. Its deep charcoal-brown color reveals subtle golden metallic highlights in direct sunlight. The Mountainside concept also features a panoramic sunroof and 22-inch Vault wheels with an anodized black and brushed finish, paired with 35-inch tires. Inside, the color palette is Alpine District and features semi-aniline leather which brings a soft, natural character that celebrates the material's authentic markings. Custom gray woven fabrics feature a subtle plaid inspired by historic Scout vehicle interiors, complemented by recycled walnut trim, warm accent colors and houndstooth patterned fabric on the headliner and pillars.
