About the job
- A formal degree in Computer Science is preferred, but junior candidates with demonstrable skills and experience are equally valued.
- Three to five years of overall experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation, for mid- to senior-level candidates.
- Hands-on experience in web, mobile, and API automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and REST-based tools.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language—Java, Python, or JavaScript—and the ability to write clean, maintainable automation code.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as WebdriverIO and behavior-driven development frameworks such as Cucumber, including contributing to framework improvements.
- Good understanding of the software development life cycle and software testing life cycle, with experience in Agile development environments.
- Experience designing test strategies, writing positive, negative, and edge-case test cases, and identifying automation opportunities.
- Practical exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including integrating and maintaining automation suites.
- Experience maintaining and scaling automation suites while ensuring stable and reliable test execution.
- Ability to take ownership of features or modules and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools that are fast, scalable, easy to monitor, and maintain.
- Create readable code.
- Perform test automation and set up frameworks across web, mobile Android, and API application platforms.
- Work with the team to maintain, improve, and clean code.
- Review colleagues' code and learn software engineering best practices.
- Work with deployment teams and resolve system issues.
- Build and manage automated build, test, and deployment environments.
