Requirements

Must have passed or be eligible for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, with completion required within six months for continued employment.
Must have passed the examination for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and remain in good standing.
Maintain Basic Life Support certification with renewal every two years.
Employees must be vaccinated or have laboratory-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella, and must receive an annual influenza vaccine or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans independently using imaging and ancillary equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Position and prepare patients for procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and compassionate care throughout scanning.
Evaluate images for technical accuracy and diagnostic quality, adjusting techniques as needed to meet radiologist expectations.
Administer intravenous contrast and oral medications safely while following Magnetic Resonance Imaging and aseptic safety protocols.
Support quality assurance activities, manage supplies, identify equipment issues, and help train students and visitors.

Perform MRI scans independently, operating imaging and ancillary equipment to deliver clear, high-quality diagnostic images.
Position and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and compassionate care throughout the scanning process.
Evaluate images for technical accuracy and diagnostic quality, adjusting techniques when needed to meet radiologist expectations.
Administer IV contrast and oral medications safely while practicing strict MRI and aseptic safety protocols.
Assist with departmental operations by supporting QA activities, managing supplies, identifying equipment issues, and helping train students and visitors.

Qualifications

What’s Required

Must have passed or is eligible for the examination for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI. Continued employment is provisional and based on completion by the ARRT in MRI within six months.

Must have passed the examination for the American of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and remain in good standing.
Prefer two years’ experience in MRI.
Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends), night shift 11p-6a
