Requirements
  • A high school diploma, General Educational Development credential, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • The operator must be able to read and interpret safety rules and instructions from a supervisor.
  • The operator must be able to write pertinent information on cases.
  • The operator must be able to communicate effectively with other operators, the crew leader, the supervisor, and plant management.
  • The operator must be able to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division functions.
  • The operator must be capable of safely lifting 50 pounds.
  • The operator must arrive at the workspace in a timely manner as directed by the supervisor.
  • The operator must be able to pass the Ishihara color-blindness test.
Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned extrusion equipment, including Plantex, Filteco, and/or Rieter equipment, and ensure machine runability and product quality.
  • Operate all Godet rolls, switches, heaters, and aspirators on the extrusion machine.
  • Follow the correct yarn path and thread up the extrusion machine, and rethread it in a timely manner.
  • Keep yarn wraps pulled from rolls to maintain quality.
  • Operate and doff winders when the yarn cycle is complete.
  • Perform online quality inspections of yarn, including shade, air tack, winding, and proper labels.
  • Pack out yarn on stretch-wrap buggies and label it with the correct information to deliver a first-quality product.
  • Transport the yarn buggy to the stretch-wrap station for packaging.
  • Assist crew leaders during product changes and spin-pack changes when needed.
  • Assist other operators when needed.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the work area and assigned extrusion machine.
  • Maintain appropriate log documentation, including the Break Out Log.
  • Report discrepancies to the crew leader and supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Tarkett Increases Buy-Out Offer to €17

Tarkett Participation has increased its public buy-out offer for Tarkett shares from €16 to €17 per share, representing a premium of 40.6% and 46.1% over the 20 and 60-day average share prices, respectively, and a 25.5% premium over the last closing price before the offer on February 20, 2025. The Supervisory Board and an independent expert have endorsed the offer as fair, recommending shareholders tender their shares. The offer is subject to AMF review.
