About the company

Outmarket AI builds AI software for insurance agencies and brokers, turning dense commercial policy documents into comparisons and reports for client advice. Its Compare Quotes workflow extracts coverage and premiums from carrier PDFs, normalizes them, and presents differences side by side. Other tools check issued policies against applications and create branded proposals and insurance forms for customers. Agencies buy subscriptions governed by order forms, and staff use the platform to analyze documents and prepare client work without rebuilding spreadsheets by hand. Outmarket AI was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

What believers are saying

  • Capital supports expansion: Outmarket raised $34.5 million in September 2026, four months after announcing its Series A.
  • Large brokers validate demand: Outmarket reported adoption by over a quarter of America's top 100 brokers in September 2026.
  • Engineers get founder access: Outmarket's front-end role lists direct co-founder collaboration and remote work with flexible hours.

What critics are saying

  • Sales engineers build while selling: Outmarket's founding role starts without a team and supports 20 to 30 opportunities per quarter.
  • AI accuracy remains a customer burden: Outmarket's contract assigns users responsibility for checking the usefulness and accuracy of outputs.
  • Implementation stays hands-on: Houchens describes Outmarket staff spending days on-site to tailor solutions to its workflows.

What makes Outmarket AI unique

  • Outmarket works inside agency systems: its Applied Epic integration updates records and sends endorsement requests.
  • Outmarket isolates customer data: separate environments accompany a contractual promise against using documents to train AI models.
  • Outmarket controls custom automation: agency-created workflows require administrator review before reaching the wider team.
