Hilton adds Pittsburgh and Huntsville to Apartment Collection.

Hilton adds Pittsburgh and Huntsville to Apartment Collection. Hilton opened two apartment-style Placemakr properties under its Apartment Collection brand on 30 September 2026: Placemakr Pittsburgh Downtown and Anthem House in Huntsville, Alabama. Two Placemakr properties join Apartment Collection by Hilton. Hilton opened two apartment-style Placemakr properties under its Apartment Collection brand in Pittsburgh and Huntsville, Alabama. A Hilton spokesperson confirmed the openings to Hotel Dive, which published the item on 1 October 2026. The two properties are Placemakr Pittsburgh Downtown, Apartments by Hilton, and Anthem House - Placemakr Huntsville, Apartments by Hilton. Both opened on 30 September, according to the Hilton spokesperson. They join Apartment Collection properties in Utah, Georgia and Austin, Texas. Pittsburgh: the Pennsylvanian's ballroom and in-unit laundry. The Pittsburgh property occupies the historic Pennsylvanian building downtown, steps from the city's Cultural District. Its website lists a historic ballroom for meetings and events, cooking areas and in-unit laundry. The ballroom is the property's meetings space. Acram Group owns the Pittsburgh property, according to Asian Hospitality. Huntsville: A pool, a fitness center and coworking space. The Huntsville property sits inside a luxury apartment building in the MidCity District, steps from the Orion Amphitheater. Its own page lists a resort-style pool, a 24/7 fitness center, coworking spaces, chef-ready kitchens and in-unit laundry, and Hotel Dive records versatile spaces for meetings and events at the property. The listed address is 945 Mid City Drive NW. RCP Companies developed the Huntsville building with Revolution Capital as capital partner, and the unit mix runs to 330 studio, studio plus and one-bedroom units, according to 256today. Both buildings opened under the Placemakr flag. Placemakr opened both buildings in 2025. Huntsville opened in April 2025 as the company's first Alabama property. Hilton describes both as existing Placemakr-operated, mixed-use apartment hospitality properties that joined its portfolio on 30 September with reservations open, per Asian Hospitality. Both buildings are now bookable on Hilton channels. Michael Snapkoski on growth in two markets. Michael Snapkoski, brand leader of Apartment Collection by Hilton, wrote in a LinkedIn post that the openings mark another important step in the continued growth of the brand and expand Hilton's presence in two dynamic markets. Snapkoski was named brand leader in April. The January partnership and three thousand units. Hilton launched Apartment Collection by Hilton in January in partnership with Placemakr, the apartment hospitality brand. Hilton's announcement of 15 January states that the partnership builds on an existing global inventory of approximately 10,000 apartment-style units and will add as many as 3,000 new units. The first two properties under the brand debuted earlier this year in Atlanta and Salt Lake City. Placemakr lists Scout Living PCM Placemakr Atlanta, Placemakr Salt Lake City Downtown, Placemakr Austin Downtown and Placemakr Pittsburgh Downtown as bookable on Hilton channels, with more properties to follow. Two opening dates from two Hilton documents. Asian Hospitality reported the same two properties and the same 30 September date. It records that the date runs earlier than the October date carried in a Hilton openings-and-renovations release of 25 September, so two Hilton documents disagree on the Huntsville date by up to a month. The aparthotel field around the brand. Hotel Dive places the openings against a set of aparthotel moves. Marriott International runs Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts entered a 10-year United States partnership with Reside to launch Reside, a Wyndham Residence. Kasa entered a strategic combination with Mint House in January. What Hilton has not published. Hilton published no Hilton-branded unit count for either new property, according to Asian Hospitality.

Milestone for Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Fettlers regeneration scheme.

Milestone for Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Fettlers regeneration scheme. 12 Oct 2026, 16:10 Construction of the Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Fettlers has reached a major milestone, with the six-storey building now topped out. The 144-bedroom hotel is being brought forward by Cityheart in partnership with Wigan Council, with Galliford Try leading construction works. The topping out marks a step forward for the hotel, the second phase to be completed at the emerging Fettlers Neighbourhood alongside the new market hall which is on track to open in winter 2027. The milestone comes as the project team unveils the hotel's first completed mock-up room, offering stakeholders, residents and visitors an early look at the guest experience ahead of opening. Designed by JM Architects' Manchester studio, the approximately 60,000 sq ft hotel occupies a prominent position overlooking Fettlers' new public square and will bring a globally recognised hospitality brand into the town centre. The hotel will feature guestrooms, a gym with views across the square, dining and meeting facilities and secure car parking. It will be owned by Wigan Council and operated by leaf HOSPITALITY under the Hampton by Hilton brand, one of Hilton's largest most recognised brands. The hotel forms part of Fettlers, the transformation of the former Galleries site into a new mixed-use neighbourhood in the centre of Wigan which, once complete, will deliver a new Market Hall, public realm, leisure facilities, alongside more than 400 new homes. The next major milestone for Fettlers will see the opening of the new Market Hall, which is scheduled to welcome its first visitors in Spring 2027 and will be the first completed element of the wider development. Cllr Dane Anderton, portfolio holder for economic development and regeneration, said: "Reaching the topping-out stage is a significant milestone for the Hampton by Hilton Hotel and the wider Fettlers development in Wigan town centre. "It's fantastic to see this landmark building taking shape and another key part of our vision for the town centre becoming a reality. "The hotel will bring new jobs, attract visitors and investment, and help create a vibrant destination that residents can be proud of as the transformation of the town centre continues." Darren Jones, senior development director at Cityheart, said: "Alongside new homes, public spaces, and the Market Hall, the hotel demonstrates the scale of transformation now taking shape across the site. "Seeing the building reach its full height gives a real sense of the neighbourhood that is beginning to emerge." Paul Blackmore, vice president, Development, UK & Ireland, Hilton, added: "The hotel reflects the strength of our partnerships with Wigan Council, Cityheart and leaf HOSPITALITY and reaching this milestone is an exciting moment for everyone involved in bringing Hampton by Hilton to Wigan. "We now look forward to the opening of the hotel next year, which will not only help attract visitors to the town but support the long-term regeneration of the Fettlers neighbourhood." Richard Farrar, managing director of Leaf HOSPITALITY, said: "The progress on site over the past few months has been impressive and reflects the work of everyone involved. "It's exciting to see the hotel taking shape, and in the new year our focus will turn to building the team and recruiting locally ahead of opening later in 2027."

Tempo by Hilton to debut in Germany with Munich Airport Arena project.

Tempo by Hilton to debut in Germany with Munich Airport Arena project. Hilton announces the German debut of the Tempo brand with a 199-room hotel at the MUNICH ARENA campus, targeting the growing music tourism market for 2029. Sunday, October 11, 2026 Munich is pivoting toward a specialized "concert holiday" model by combining airport accessibility, large-scale entertainment, and targeted hospitality. The centerpiece of this strategy is the Tempo by Hilton Munich Airport Arena, a 199-room property situated on the MUNICH ARENA campus. The development aligns with the city's trajectory as a global event hub. The hotel will sit adjacent to the planned MUNICH ARENA, a venue designed to hold approximately 20,000 spectators. This synergy allows international tourists to anchor their trips around major performances before expanding their itineraries to include Munich's urban center. The project, announced on 2 October 2026, is a collaborative effort between Hilton, Allresto Munich Airport Hotel and Restaurants GmbH, and SWMUNICH Accommodation GmbH. It marks the first time the Tempo by Hilton brand will operate within Germany. The hotel's layout specifically caters to event-goers. Key features include a "Get Ready Zone" equipped with vanity mirrors and open wardrobes, designed for guests preparing for high-profile events. To capture the pre- and post-show crowd, the property will feature a ground-floor café and a rooftop bar serving craft cocktails and small plates. Key facts breakdown. * Opening Date: Planned for 2029. * Capacity: 199 guest rooms. * Location: MUNICH ARENA campus, near Munich Airport. * Venue Synergy: Adjacent to a concert venue with a 20,000-spectator capacity. * Brand Milestone: First Tempo by Hilton property in Germany. * Amenities: Rooftop bar, fitness center (cardio, weights, recovery area), and dedicated event preparation zones. * Loyalty Integration: Full Hilton Honors participation. Data tables. Table 1: project specifications. | Feature | Details | | Hotel Name | Tempo by Hilton Munich Airport Arena | | Announcement Date | 2 October 2026 | | Expected Opening | 2029 | | Planned Rooms | 199 | | Location | MUNICH ARENA campus (Near Airport) | | Venue Capacity | Approx. 20,000 spectators | | F&B Offerings | Ground-floor café and rooftop bar | Table 2: Munich tourism performance (2021-2025). | Year | Guest Arrivals | Overnight Stays | Annual Change (Stays) | Context | | 2021 | 3,097,212 | 7,947,780 | N/A | Pandemic recovery phase | | 2022 | 6,940,221 | 16,018,285 | +101.5% | Major travel rebound | | 2023 | 8,531,177 | 18,634,062 | +16.3% | New overnight record | | 2024 | 9,279,239 | 19,712,703 | +5.8% | Record highs via major events | | 2025 | 9,305,028 | 19,681,051 | −0.2% | Peak arrival numbers | Why this matters. From a logistical perspective, this project solves a primary friction point for international "event tourists": the gap between arrival at a major airport and access to a high-capacity venue. By placing a 199-room hotel directly on the MUNICH ARENA campus, Hilton is removing the need for complex city-center transfers for those attending 20,000-capacity shows. Its analysis of the flight and tourism data indicates that Munich's market has shifted from a standard business/leisure split to an "event-driven" economy. The jump from 7.9 million stays in 2021 to nearly 19.7 million in 2024 proves that the city can scale rapidly when major events (like the UEFA European Football Championship) are present. The "Get Ready Zone" and rooftop bar are not mere amenities; they are strategic responses to the specific behavioral patterns of concert-goers who prioritize aesthetics and social gathering points. Industry outlook. Expect a surge in "Entertainment-Anchored Hospitality" across Europe. The Tempo by Hilton model suggests a shift away from generic airport hotels toward lifestyle properties that serve as extensions of the event venue itself. As Munich continues to hit record arrival numbers (9.3 million in 2025), other German cities like Frankfurt will likely pursue similar campus-style developments to capture high-spending, short-stay international music tourists.
