Its shares are trading well above their 50-day and 200-day moving averages, reinforcing the bullish trend. * Product innovation is supporting customer loyalty: New scrub designs, improved fits and broader apparel offerings are helping FIGS deepen customer engagement and potentially support revenue growth. * Options activity signals increased speculation: Traders purchased 2,026 FIGS call options, approximately double the typical volume of 1,014 contracts. The results strengthen the case behind the stock's momentum. * Momentum-investor appeal is rising: Zacks highlighted FIGS as a strong momentum candidate after its weekly rally. FIGS, a Los Angeles-based medical scrubs company, reported Q2 2026 revenue of $196.6M, marking 28.8% year-over-year growth and its third consecutive quarter of 25%+ expansion. The company's net income reached $28.4M in Q2, quadrupling from the prior-year period, while net profit margin improved to 14.4%. The performance recovery drove FIGS stock price to $14.68, more than doubling from its 52-week low of $6.50. The turnaround follows three years of stagnation after the pandemic-era boom ended, with the company now expanding its direct-to-consumer model across 85 countries and strengthening its institutional sales platform targeting US healthcare facilities. FIGS founders built premium scrubs brand from nurse feedback. Heather Hasson, a University of Wisconsin graduate working in the fashion industry, founded FIGS after altering a nurse friend's ill-fitting scrubs. The positive response from other nurses prompted Hasson to partner with Trina Spear, a Wall Street professional, to establish the company in Los Angeles in 2013. The company secured investment from Campfire Capital, founded by former Lululemon executives, and later received $65M from Legendary Pictures founder Thomas Tull, who became the largest shareholder. Actor Will Smith and former Lululemon CEO Christine Day also joined as investors. FIGS developed its proprietary FIONx fabric using core-spun construction with four-way stretch, antimicrobial properties, wrinkle-resistance, and moisture-wicking capabilities. The company holds 21 US design patents, 112 international design registrations, and 18 US trademark registrations as of last year. Design features include separate zippered pockets for stethoscopes, scissors, smartphones, and ID badges. Prices range from two to four times those of budget scrubs. Company reports 28.8% revenue growth in Q2 2026. FIGS achieved 2025 revenue of $631.1M, representing 13.6% annual growth. Q2 2026 revenue reached $196.6M with net income of $28.4M, compared to prior-year Q2 net income of approximately $7M. Adjusted EBITDA margin reached 18.6% in Q2. Core scrubs sales, representing 82% of revenue, grew 27%, while non-scrubs products including outerwear, under-scrubs, and footwear grew 40% and accounted for 18% of revenue. US market sales increased 22%, while international sales in Europe and Latin America surged 67%. The company expanded its presence from 58 countries last year to 85 countries by July this year. FIGS increased its share buyback authorization from $100M to $200M for 2026, repurchasing and retiring $24M worth of shares in Q2 alone. The company held $296.3M in cash and short-term investments with zero debt as of June. Direct-to-Consumer model achieves 71.8% gross margin. FIGS generates most revenue through its website and mobile app, selling directly to consumers without intermediary distribution. This direct-to-consumer approach produced a gross profit margin of 66.5% in 2025 and 71.8% in the first half of 2026. The company ranked among America's fastest-growing companies in 2018 with a three-year growth rate of 9,948%. During the 2020 pandemic, revenue reached $263M - 2.4 times the prior year - with $50M in net profit. FIGS completed its New York Stock Exchange listing in May 2021, allocating 1% of IPO shares to individual investors, particularly healthcare workers, at the $22 offering price. Following the post-pandemic slowdown, the company experienced three years of flat revenue growth with net profit margin falling to 0.5% in 2024. The stock declined from its IPO price to the $6 range before the recent recovery began last year. FIGS expands institutional sales platform for healthcare facilities. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects healthcare as the fastest-growing sector among all industries from 2024 to 2034, driven by aging populations and increasing chronic disease prevalence. The US healthcare and social assistance workforce totals approximately 24M people. Business-to-business purchases by hospitals and medical institutions historically represented about 15% of the US scrubs market, but healthcare facilities are increasingly moving toward standardized staff uniforms. FIGS strengthened its TEAMS platform designed for institutional purchases to capture this expanding market segment. The company's Q2 earnings per share of $0.15 doubled the analyst consensus estimate of $0.07. Market analysts expect FIGS to achieve gradual market share gains, with substantial growth potential remaining despite the stock price doubling from its 52-week low. Faq.
