Requirements
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in corporate or conference audiovisual production, with other live production experience considered.
  • Hands-on experience with signal routing and basic networking in live environments.
  • Hands-on experience with live audio mixing and radio-frequency fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with video switching, cameras, projection, and basic lighting setups.
  • Experience with breakout-room operations and support.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 15–20 weeks per year domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Ability to work long event days and non-standard hours on site.
  • Ability to perform physical labor including loading and unloading trucks, pushing cases, lifting gear, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely and enforce safety for the entire crew.
Responsibilities
  • Own audiovisual planning for assigned shows, including room layouts, gear lists, signal-routing plans, and staffing needs.
  • Work directly with clients to understand show flow, content needs, and constraints.
  • Coordinate with internal production, software, and logistics teams on gear preparation, freight, and timelines.
  • Build and review run-of-show and cue sheets.
  • Lead audiovisual production on site for conferences and events, typically across multiple rooms and tracks.
  • Manage and direct local crews, including A1s, V1s, and hands, during setups, rehearsals, and shows.
  • Operate or oversee Blackmagic switching and routing, camera setups, projection, image magnification, and confidence monitors.
  • Operate or oversee Allen & Heath and Yamaha digital consoles, radio-frequency coordination, and basic voice-focused mixing.
  • Operate or oversee basic stage lighting and room-wash setups.
  • Deploy and operate StreamCase systems for multi-track recording and streaming.
  • Troubleshoot signal-flow, radio-frequency, and networking issues under show conditions.
  • Ensure recordings, assets, and reports are delivered correctly to internal teams and clients.
  • Update checklists, diagrams, and playbooks based on lessons learned.
  • Help maintain warehouse standards through gear preparation, labeling, testing, and safety enforcement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Blackmagic Design ecosystems, including ATEM, routers, and converters.
  • Experience with Dante and audio routing.
  • Video-editing capabilities.
  • Experience with Allen & Heath and/or Yamaha digital mixers.
  • Experience with hybrid or streaming events involving multi-track production, remote viewers, and redundancy.
  • Experience with Vectorworks diagramming.
  • Woodworking, scenic or production design, or fabrication experience, including building simple sets, lecterns, signage, or stage elements.
  • A bachelor's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as an AV Production Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems used in live productions.
  • Proficiency with AV control systems and digital media production equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with various teams.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
