Requirements
  • A master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field is required.
  • Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.
  • The candidate must be certified by or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
Responsibilities
  • Perform duties related to providing qualified radiological physics support for the Radiation Oncology Department.
  • Monitor equipment for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Apply radiation oncology medical physics clinically and complete documentation necessary for the therapeutic application.
  • Assist the Chief Medical Physicist with all brachytherapy services, including high dose rate brachytherapy and prostate seed implantation.
  • Assist the Chief Medical Physicist in ensuring that all physics functions and operations within the department meet state and other regulatory standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in Radiation Oncology, including clinical application of medical physics, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and Prostate Seed Implants.
