About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of professional enterprise software experience, including a minimum of 4–5 years operating as a specialized marketplace overlay, category lead, or business development manager within a software marketplace ecosystem.
  • Deep, firsthand understanding of hyperscaler marketplace dynamics, including Custom Private Offers, multi-party transactional frameworks, and monetization of third-party professional services.
  • A proven history of managing and driving $5 million or more in cloud marketplace transactional volume, with the ability to navigate matrixed global sales organizations.
  • Ability to operate in high ambiguity, define new business motions from scratch, and influence and consult with partner C-suite executives about revenue operations and business model shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a specialized marketplace execution expert in high-stakes, complex partner engagements alongside the AgentExchange GTM Transformation team, delivering the marketplace value proposition and securing structural commitments.
  • Maintain ownership of the transaction pipeline, entering active enterprise deals to unblock multi-party commercial structures and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Define custom deal mechanics, private offer frameworks, and flexible pricing models with Strategy, Legal, RevOps, and Deal Desk to prepare the field to transact.
  • Advise partner C-suite executives on revenue-model, billing-infrastructure, and internal sales-compensation transformations needed to shift to a marketplace-first business model.
  • Execute the GTM App rollout as a change-management program, addressing partner concerns about margin preservation and field-sales alignment.
  • Serve as a strategic feedback loop between strategic partners and the Product organization; collect and prioritize input on missing features, especially services monetization, and build data-driven business cases distinguishing roadmap priorities from one-off requests.
  • Own pipeline tracking, KPIs, reporting, and roadmap reviews for this motion, and ensure internal workflows and program-management strategies are AI-first by default, using automation to maximize ecosystem scale.
  • Collaborate with the team designing, building, and institutionalizing commercial playbooks that enable partners to package and sell bundled software subscriptions with professional, advisory, implementation, or managed services through the GTM App.
  • Establish baseline mechanics for services procurement, milestone tracking, and complex billing allocations within the marketplace ecosystem.
  • Identify, target, and sign tier-one anchor partners for bundled software-and-services pilot programs, capturing operational learnings to create a scalable playbook for the Global Partnerships team.
  • Share accountability for achieving the $5 million ISV revenue target.
  • Drive partner adoption and operational change management so partners are prepared to sell through the marketplace.
  • Execute the first enterprise-grade software-and-services bundled listing pilot with a major global partner.
  • Achieve a measurable, documented reduction in time to contract for complex marketplace transactions.
  • Build and execute enablement plans for partner account managers, partners, field sales teams, and end customers; track and report readiness milestones for marketplace deals.

About the company

What believers are saying

  • AI brings paying demand: Salesforce reported nearly $3.9 billion in Agentforce and Data 360 recurring revenue pace in August 2026.
  • Giving back gets paid time: Salesforce employees receive seven paid volunteer days each year.
  • Subscriptions provide a durable base: Salesforce earned $10.8 billion from subscriptions and support in the July 2026 quarter.

What critics are saying

  • Office roles demand attendance: Salesforce's published guidelines require four to five days in person for office-based roles.
  • Expansion brought debt: Salesforce borrowed $6 billion in November 2025 to help finance the Informatica acquisition.
  • Reliability failed during Dreamforce: a September 2026 Salesforce outage disrupted affected Hyperforce environments for seven hours and 36 minutes.

What makes Salesforce unique

  • Partners extend its platform: Salesforce's AgentExchange combines third-party apps, AI agents and services with unified purchasing and billing.
  • Everyone publishes a plan: Salesforce employees write annual goals visible to colleagues through its internal V2MOM system.
  • Learning includes real practice: Salesforce's free Trailhead courses award badges after quizzes and hands-on exercises in practice accounts.

VALiNTRY360 launches seven-pillar framework to measure Salesforce managed services beyond ticket speed

VALiNTRY360, a US Salesforce consulting partner, has introduced a Seven-Pillar Salesforce Managed Services Framework. It helps organisations judge how well their CRM systems perform after implementation. The company says closing support tickets quickly does not prove a CRM works well. Poor data, failing automation, unstable integrations and technical debt can persist regardless. The pillars are support efficiency, data quality, automation reliability, integration stability, release management, user adoption, and readiness for Agentforce and AI. Each has measurable indicators, such as ticket resolution time, duplicate record rates and failed Flows per month. "Companies judge a managed services provider by how fast tickets close. That's one pillar out of seven," said Joe Parris, the company's president. VALiNTRY360 cites one customer case where workflow improvements resolved tickets 77% faster. It says these results are not guaranteed.

Docusign brings its agreement platform natively into Salesforce, Agentforce and Slack

Docusign has expanded its more than 20-year partnership with Salesforce, bringing its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform natively into Salesforce, Agentforce, and Slack. The company announced the move on October 13, 2026. The integration lets sales teams draft, negotiate, and sign agreements without leaving their customer relationship management system. Sellers can ask Agentforce questions about contracts, generate or send agreements, track renewals, and flag hidden risks in obligations buried in master services agreements. In Slack, teams can request a contract, pull live customer and pricing data, apply approved terms, and route the deal to legal within the same thread. Docusign was also named a 2027 Salesforce Partner of the Year for Global Partner and System of Engagement.
