Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must submit to and pass the pre-employment drug and alcohol test and State drug and alcohol testing.
Fingerprints must clear Public Safety and FBI checks.
Must have graduated from high school or earned a general education degree.
Must have two years of related experience and/or training.
Must communicate effectively in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Must read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must write reports and correspondence.
Must present information and respond to questions from supervisors, staff, and the public.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must hold a valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.
Must be certified in First Aid.
Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, tools, and controls, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and occasionally climb or balance.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, drive at night, and meet the specified vision requirements.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in noisy, overcrowded environments and around dust, fumes, and odors, and operate power tools.
