Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Maximize health center resources, patient access, and quality of care through effective operations.
  • Set clear site and program goals and ensure accountability across all departments.
  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer, medical leadership, and other departments to align operations with organizational pillars.
  • Maintain transparent communication with the Chief Operating Officer on key developments, risks, performance issues, and operational needs.
  • Anticipate operational, staffing, performance, and compliance risks; take timely action and escalate as needed.
  • Implement and sustain approved programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assume accountability for health center budget performance, including labor, operating expenses, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to develop forecasts, manage variances, and steward financial resources responsibly.
  • Monitor and analyze operational, financial, and quality data; address trends and inaccuracies and drive improvement with staff and partners.
  • Work with leadership, Human Resources, other health center sites, and outside agencies to ensure staffing levels support safe, effective, and accessible service delivery.
  • Exercise authority in recruitment, hiring, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, dismissal, and other personnel actions.
  • Ensure annual performance reviews, compliance requirements, and performance management for health center staff are completed accurately and on time.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation of new staff to ensure competency, role clarity, and quality of care.
  • Oversee workforce scheduling and timekeeping practices for wage-and-hour compliance, including accurate recording of time worked, meal and rest periods, overtime management, and timely payroll processing.
  • Create, promote, and maintain a culture of safety, respect, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, including coordination of safety drills and audits with Compliance.
  • Lead the site in addressing, resolving, and documenting patient and employee concerns and complaints according to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clear communication across the health center and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead and support site participation in quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and lead change initiatives, including workflow redesign, staffing adjustments, and implementation of new systems or models of care.
  • Participate in site-specific and organization-wide teams and committees.
  • Represent the organization professionally and effectively within the community.
  • Supervise the Office Manager, Back Office Manager, and other assigned health center staff, including training, development, and performance management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
