IT Security Trainee - Cyber Defense & Resilienz
About the job
- A completed degree in an IT-related or natural-sciences field, preferably a Master’s in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or comparable vocational training.
- Ability to communicate confidently in spoken and written German and English at a minimum C1 level.
- Analytical and logical thinking, a goal-oriented, reliable, and independent working style, initiative, and willingness to learn and continue professional development.
- Ability to quickly recognize potential risks and derive effective solutions.
- Support the analysis of security events using SIEM, EDR, and threat-intelligence systems, and help detect attack patterns such as phishing, malware, and unusual network traffic.
- Assist in assessing and prioritizing security alerts, initiating countermeasures, and coordinating with IT operations and business units to handle security incidents.
- Support penetration tests, vulnerability scans, patch management, and system hardening to close security gaps early.
- Contribute to preparing IT security status metrics and advise operational IT units on continuously improving security.
- Support the design of business continuity management IT processes, emergency and recovery plans, testing, and gap analyses; participate in IT disruptions and emergencies as needed.
- Participate in the trainee program, including workshops, a joint trainee project, a personal development plan, and job shadowing in related departments, internal services, or sales.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics.
