Requirements
  • Knowledge of common criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience creating or managing criminal justice information records.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer or in similar criminal justice work.
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility.
Responsibilities
  • Enter records into several Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal justice information systems as required by law and Department of the Air Force and Department of War policy.
  • Serve as the focal point for assigned Major Commands regarding Disposition of Firearms checks.
  • Engage with Indexing Compliance Managers in Security Forces and the Office of Special Investigations and with Judge Advocate offices to provide feedback and resolve administrative and criminal indexing questions.
  • Conduct real-time evaluations, audits, creation, and correction of Department of the Air Force indexing records through direct engagement with units and functional case management system access.
  • Ensure assigned functional units comply with Department of War and Department of the Air Force policies for applicable records in federal databases and case management systems.
  • Monitor and track requests for and entries of Department of the Air Force information into federal databases for assigned Major Command installations, including warrants, lost or stolen articles, missing persons, Military Protection Orders, and dangerous persons, and ensure required documentation exists.
  • Coordinate with the Department of the Air Force Criminal Justice Information Center Criminal History Record Information Data Manager and audit lead regarding Major Command compliance information.
  • Provide feedback on compliance issues for routing to base Office of Special Investigations headquarters, Inspector General, and Major Command or Wing Inspector General offices for remediation.
  • Provide resolutions to the Requests for Information team for records within the assigned Major Command and correct identified errors.
