Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Summers Plumbing booked 2,542 jobs in month one with zero human intervention.
  • Peterman Brothers centralized dispatch across 11 markets and 200 technicians without added overhead.
  • Probook's July 13, 2026 ServiceTitan listing says dispatchers handle 15-20 technicians.

What critics are saying

  • ServiceTitan already owns contractor workflows; Probook depends on its ecosystem partnership.
  • Automation mistakes hit revenue immediately, because dispatch determines assignment, ETA, and flip rate.
  • If a16z and Sequoia-backed pilots stall, Probook becomes another scheduling feature.

What makes Probook unique

  • Probook centralizes dispatch, intake, messaging, and outbound on one live customer thread.
  • June 23, 2026 funding from a16z and Sequoia validates its trades-specific data moat.
  • ServiceTitan Marketplace integration embeds Probook inside existing workflows instead of replacing core systems.

Sequoia and a16z invest $40M in Probook to dominate dispatch across $700B trades industry

Probook, a dispatch software company for home services, has raised $40 million from Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital. The startup is targeting a $700 billion industry by positioning itself as the central operating layer for plumbing, HVAC and electrical businesses. The company's platform automatically handles job booking, scheduling and routing. An Indiana shop with 260 technicians booked 2,542 jobs in its first month without human intervention. A Kansas operator increased average job revenue by 20%. Probook's advantage lies in the operational data it accumulates whilst solving immediate business problems like missed calls and inefficient scheduling. The company currently partners with ServiceTitan, the $6.3 billion public incumbent with $960 million in revenue. Private equity's consolidation of local trades businesses has created demand for unified software solutions, making the dispatch seat increasingly strategic as a data collection point.

Probook raises $40 million in seed and Series A financing.

Probook raises $40 million in seed and Series A financing. Probook, an AI powered operating system for home service businesses, has secured $40 million in total funding, comprising a $34 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz and a $6 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital. Probook, an AI powered operating system for home services businesses centered on intelligent dispatch, announced $40 million in total funding: a $34 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from Sequoia Capital, plus a $6 million seed round previously led by Sequoia. What is Probook? The company, founded in 2022 and headquartered in New York, positions itself as a unified platform that automates the full customer experience (intake, data cleaning, messaging, outbound sales, and especially dispatch) rather than offering fragmented point solutions. Dispatch serves as the core "brain" of the operation: matching the right technician (based on skills, historical performance, conversion rates, location, and availability) to each job in real time, while maintaining a single context layer across interactions. Founders bring deep domain expertise from the trades: * CEO George Eliadis grew up pressure washing with his father in upstate New York and later worked inside TR Miller (a $40M HVAC/plumbing/electrical shop, Probook's first customer). * Co-founder Ben Cervantez has hands-on plumbing experience and dropped out of the University of Pennsylvania to build the company. * CTO Lewis Zhang offers exceptional technical talent (Berkeley EECS in two years, prior work at Roblox). This background sets Probook apart from generic AI vendors who entered the space opportunistically. The team deploys in person, configures alongside customer teams, and remains accountable for outcomes, addressing common complaints about failed AI pilots and fragmented stacks. Probook integrates with existing systems like ServiceTitan and emphasizes high talent engineering (ICPC World Finalists, IMO Gold Medalists) paired with GTM/CS talent from Procore, Zocdoc, etc. Key capabilities include: * Automated lead intake and cleaning. * AI chat and outbound to fill schedules and close unsold estimates. * Real time dispatch optimization with 90%+ automated customer chats. * Full history checks and forecasting for revenue/ETAs. * Single unified text thread and context for seamless experiences. Reported outcomes from customers (hundreds of locations, including PE-backed platforms): * Summers Plumbing (14 locations, 260 techs): Booked ~2,500+ jobs in the first month with zero human intervention. * TurnPoint Services: Halved dispatchers while increasing average ticket size. * Del-Air: Doubled techs per dispatcher (10 | 22). * Others: 15-20%+ increases in average ticket/revenue per job, improved flip rates, successful tuck-ins/acquisitions, and leaner operations (e.g., 22 | 10 dispatchers for one operator handling 15,000+ calls/month). These metrics highlight efficiency gains, revenue uplift, and scalability for a labor intensive, margin sensitive industry. The U.S. home services market (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) exceeds $700 billion. Dispatch and operations remain largely manual, creating chronic pain points around technician utilization, windshield time, customer experience, and administrative overhead, exacerbated by technician shortages and consolidation (tuck-ins). Probook addresses a structural gap: many AI tools targeted visible edges (voice agents, chatbots) but ignored the hard central problem of dispatch, leading to disconnected systems and overhead. By owning dispatch as the foundation and expanding outward, Probook aims to become the category defining OS. Traction and Business Metrics * ~ $2M ARR achieved rapidly (bootstrapped phase with a tiny team traveling for onboardings). * Strong early adoption with onboarding booked out months ahead. * Team size: >60 people, scaling quickly. The funding validates rapid progress from a small, domain rooted team in a massive vertical. Proceeds will fuel: * Go to market expansion to meet demand. * Engineering hires to deepen the platform. * Customer success scaling. a16z and Sequoia's involvement (rare co-sign) signals belief in Probook as a potential category winner in vertical AI. Investors highlight the moat from domain authenticity, technical execution, and operator trust. Probook differentiates through vertical depth and integration versus horizontal AI tools or legacy scheduling software. Challenges include execution at scale, continued AI reliability in variable real world conditions, competition from incumbents or well-funded entrants, and dependency on home services cyclicality/economic factors. However, founder credibility, proven outcomes, and investor backing position it strongly. This round marks a significant acceleration for a focused, authentic player in vertical AI. Probook is translating deep industry pain into measurable operator ROI (higher revenue, leaner teams, better experiences) in a trillion dollar adjacent ecosystem ripe for modernization. The combination of trades DNA, centralized architecture, and top tier backing suggests strong potential to capture substantial share as home services operators consolidate and digitize. Probook raises Series A led by Sequoia to automate home services with AI dispatch platform

Probook, an AI operating system for home services businesses, has raised a Series A round led by Sequoia Capital. The company was founded by George Eliadis, Lewis Zhang and Ben Cervantez to streamline operations for electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers and other tradespeople. The platform centres on dispatch automation, connecting the entire customer experience from intake through job completion. When customers call, Probook's AI instantly assigns jobs based on technician experience, availability, location and performance metrics, reducing administrative burden and improving margins. The startup was inspired by Eliadis's experience helping his father, a former New York City police officer, with his power washing business. Eliadis identified how administrative tasks cut into profitability across the home services industry whilst studying at the University of Pennsylvania.

Probook Raises $40M to automate dispatch for Home services.

Probook Raises $40M to automate dispatch for Home services. Tl;dr. * Probook raised $40 million total: a $34M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz and a $6M seed round led by Sequoia Capital. * An Indiana operator with 14 locations and 260 technicians booked 2,542 jobs in its first month on the platform with zero human intervention. * A Kansas shop using Probook cut dispatchers from 22 to 10 while increasing average job revenue by 20 percent. The hardest operational problem in running a home services business is not finding customers or hiring technicians. It is dispatch: deciding, in real time, which technician goes to which job, across how many locations, with what skills, on what schedule. Probook, backed by both Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital, is building a platform that hands that decision to an AI system rather than a human coordinator. According to Fortune's exclusive report, the company raised $40 million total: a $34 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz and a $6 million seed round led by Sequoia, which also joined the Series A. Beyond dispatch, the platform adds call answering, job data cleanup, and customer updates. The early customer results the company is citing are striking. An Indiana operator with 14 locations and 260 technicians reportedly booked 2,542 jobs in its first month on the platform with zero human intervention. A Kansas shop reportedly cut its dispatcher headcount from 22 to 10 while increasing average job revenue by 20 percent. The founder story doubles as the investor thesis. George Eliadis, 24, spent six summers pressure washing houses in upstate New York with his father before going to Wharton and starting the company. Sequoia's Konstantine Buhler put it directly: "Most founders building for the trades have never worked in them. George has." The honest caveat is that a handful of operator examples, however impressive individually, are not a sample. What the reporting does not address is what happens when the AI dispatch system makes a bad call: who catches it, and what the cost is to the contractor. Eliadis's own framing points to the stakes: "Dispatch is the brain of every home service business. That's where customer experience is made or broken." The structural tailwind is large. The home services market is reportedly worth approximately $700 billion, and private equity rollups acquiring local HVAC and plumbing shops grew at 88 percent year-over-year through mid-2025. Probook currently operates as a ServiceTitan partner, which puts it inside existing workflows rather than asking operators to replace their core software. Those multi-location, PE-backed operators who have too many jobs for a small human dispatch team are an obvious early target, and that segment is growing fast.
