About the Company

Profound Medical

MRI-guided, incision-free prostate ablation platform

Profound Medical makes incision-free therapies for diseased tissue, led by the TULSA-PRO system for prostate ablation. The device uses real-time MRI guidance, robotic transurethral ultrasound, and closed-loop temperature control to ablate a defined prostate volume in a single outpatient session, avoiding surrounding tissue damage. Revenue comes from a razor-blade model: upfront sale of capital equipment plus recurring income from single-use consumables, leases, and services; AI software modules TULSA-AI are in development to improve usability. Their goal is to broaden access to precise, radiation-free prostate treatment by expanding adoption in major hospitals and imaging centers while growing recurring revenue.
