Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • A current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license is required.
  • A current Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Two to three years of clinical experience in a patient care setting is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing skills, patient navigation, and data management in the outpatient setting.
  • Assist patients undergoing lung cancer screening through the centralized Lung Cancer Screening Program.
  • Assist with scheduling, shared decision-making, and education for patients undergoing lung cancer screening under the supervision of a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
  • Review test results and coordinate additional workup, including follow-up scans, diagnostic procedures, and evaluations by additional subspecialists in Pulmonary Medicine or the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.
  • Record results and track patients due for follow-up in the Lung Cancer Screening Program using radiology tracking software.
  • Lead community outreach efforts with support organizations to provide education and increase enrollment in lung cancer screening.
  • Participate in and collaborate on clinical research projects focused on early detection of lung cancer.
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Pulmonary, oncology, or outpatient experience is preferred.
