In a landmark move, Salomon will also become Title Partner of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawai'i, for the duration of the partnership Salomon, the modern mountain sports lifestyle brand, and IRONMAN, the global leader in triathlon, today announce a new five-year partnership bringing together two iconic brands with a shared vision for the future of endurance. Beginning in 2027, the partnership will span events globally, combining Salomon's expertise in performance running innovation with IRONMAN's global community. As part of the agreement, Salomon will become Title Partner of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawai'i marking a major milestone in the brand's growing presence across endurance sports. This partnership also reflects a broader shift in the way athletes experience endurance today. Increasingly, they move between sports, disciplines and terrains, carrying the same mindset from one challenge to the next. What connects these experiences is no longer a single sport, but a shared pursuit of progression, performance and personal challenge making endurance as much a way of life as a sporting discipline. ENDURANCE HAS NEVER BEEN DEFINED BY TERRAIN For Salomon, endurance has never been defined by terrain. Born in the French Alps 80 years ago, Salomon began where it is hardest and has never stopped pushing its limits. Faster. Longer. Elsewhere. From Nordic skiing and adventure racing to trail, road and GRAVEL running, Salomon has built its expertise across sports and seasons, helping athletes perform over long distances and in the most demanding conditions. Triathlon is a natural extension of that expertise. "Athletes no longer define themselves by one sport. They run on the road, compete in the mountains, take on triathlons and continually seek new ways to challenge themselves. Endurance has become a lifestyle. For Salomon, joining forces with IRONMAN is a natural step and an opportunity to bring our performance expertise to one of the world's most committed endurance communities." Guillaume Meyzenq, President, Salomon SHAPING THE FUTURE OF ENDURANCE SPORT, TOGETHER From 2027, Salomon becomes IRONMAN Global Premier Partner through 2031, with exclusive rights across performance footwear, apparel and technical bags within the IRONMAN ecosystem. The collaboration will be elevated with the title and presenting partnership of a number of iconic IRONMAN events across the United States and Europe. At each IRONMAN-owned event included in the partnership, Salomon will own the IRONMAN Running Course connecting the brand's growing expertise in road running with the defining final discipline of long-distance triathlon. At its core, the partnership reflects a shared belief in sport's ability to nurture human potential. Salomon and IRONMAN share an athlete-first philosophy, a commitment to innovation in the service of performance and a close relationship with the communities they serve. Together, the two brands aim to create a premium experience that helps athletes redefine what they thought was possible. "IRONMAN and Salomon are united in the belief that endurance sports unlock human potential. This partnership is rooted in a commitment to serve athletes and help them pursue ambitious goals. Salomon's heritage, performance expertise, product innovation, and community-driven philosophy make the brand a natural partner for IRONMAN. We look forward to working together to enhance the athlete experience across our community." Scott DeRue, Chief Executive Officer, The IRONMAN Group WHERE ENDURANCE GOES NEXT At the heart of the partnership is a shared ambition: to enhance the athlete experience from preparation and training to product innovation and race day. The partnership will come to life through three areas that define Salomon's approach: athletes, product and human performance expertise. Athletes will be at the heart of this next chapter alongside Marjolaine Pierré, Julie Iemmolo and Casper Stornes, three athletes who already compete at the highest level of long-distance triathlon. Their experience will bring first-hand insight into the specific demands of training, racing and running after hours of effort, helping inform Salomon's approach to the sport. Product innovation will turn those insights into performance. Across selected IRONMAN events and communities, athletes will also have opportunities to discover, test and experience Salomon products. Beyond product, Salomon will bring its broader human performance expertise to the partnership. Through its athlete-first approach, its Service to Athlete platform and its Performance Program led by sport scientist Aitor Viribay, the brand works across biomechanics, training, nutrition, recovery and athlete feedback to better understand what enables athletes to perform for longer. IRONMAN will provide a unique environment to deepen that knowledge and translate it into meaningful innovation for elite athletes and the wider community. Together, these three pillars, athletes, product and human performance expertise, will extend the partnership beyond race day, helping shape what performance can become next. WHERE ENDURANCE BECOMES LEGEND And nowhere is that ambition more symbolic than at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawai'i. Salomon's road to Kona starts this year. During the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship, Salomon will bring its first activation to Kona with an immersive pop-up at Kona Heaven from October 7-8. Mundo Domingo x Salomon XT-4 OG: the world of Mexican taquerias meets the French Alps. * Published September 9, 2026 Nearly 10,000 kilometers separate Mexico from the French Alps, but Mundo Domingo and Salomon have found an unexpected common ground. The two entities have joined forces on a new XT-4 OG, transforming Salomon's iconic trail silhouette through the graphic and cultural identity of the Mexican collective. Conceived under the creative direction of Rik Bracho, the collaboration adopts a particularly effective combination of bright yellow and black, directly inspired by the sun which is one of the symbols of Mundo Domingo and its Tacos Domingo culinary project. Mundo Domingo, much more than a taqueria. To understand this collaboration, Selecta Bisso need to go back to 2021. Mundo Domingo is a multidisciplinary project founded in Mexico by Nicholas Meehan and Alberto Rassam during the summer of 2021. Its universe revolves around several initiatives that explore and celebrate Mexican culture through gastronomy, publishing and creation. The most visible is probably Tacos Domingo, a taqueria concept specializing in tacos inspired by northern Mexico. The project developed between Mexico City, Monterrey and New York, with the ambition to convey not only a cuisine, but also the atmosphere and hospitality associated with its Mexican origins. A bright yellow sun regularly appears at the center of its visual identity, becoming one of Mundo Domingo's immediately recognizable symbols. The taco as a cultural object. However, Mundo Domingo does not limit its work to restoration. The collective is also behind Guía Domingo, a series of carefully edited coffee table books that considers the taco as much more than just a dish: an element of Mexican cultural and gastronomic heritage. Photography, art direction, choice of addresses and layout allow Selecta Bisso to approach this world with particular attention to detail. It is precisely this approach that Mundo Domingo is now applying to the Salomon XT-4 OG. Yellow and black on the XT-4 OG. For its collaboration with Salomon, Mundo Domingo is not looking to overhaul the technical construction of the XT-4 OG. The transformation is mainly achieved through a yellow and black palette directly inspired by its graphic identity. The bright yellow evokes the famous Mundo Domingo sun, while the black structures the silhouette and highlights the many technical lines characteristic of the XT-4. The contrast works particularly well on a model historically designed for performance and whose complex architecture offers many possibilities in terms of color blocking. Salomon branding goes Tacos Domingo time. However, the collaboration goes beyond a simple change of colours. One of the most interesting details concerns the Salomon logo, reworked with a typography that replicates that used by Tacos Domingo in its restaurants. A subtle but particularly effective modification since it allows the identities of the two partners to be merged without multiplying the logos. The famous Mundo Domingo sun also appears on the tongue of the left shoe, as well as on both insoles. The sneaker thus becomes a natural extension of the visual identity developed over several years around the various projects of the collective. From alpine trails to the streets of Mexico City. The choice of the XT-4 OG creates above all an interesting cultural contrast. On one hand, Salomon has a heritage deeply associated with the French Alps and mountain sports. On the other hand, Mundo Domingo draws its identity from Mexican culture, its cities and its gastronomy. The collaboration therefore brings together two worlds that initially seem very far apart, but which here share the same attention to function, design and details. It also illustrates the evolution of Salomon. Once primarily identified as a technical mountain brand, the French company now occupies an important place in the landscape of sneakers and contemporary fashion, allowing partners from gastronomy, art or culture to reinterpret its historical models. Commander Des Baskets A collaboration between culture, gastronomy and the outdoors. At this stage, the information provided does not specify the release date, price, or distribution methods for the Mundo Domingo x Salomon XT-4 OG. Selecta Bisso will therefore have to wait for an official announcement to learn the details of its availability. One thing is already clear: Mundo Domingo has succeeded in transposing its identity onto the XT-4 OG without distorting the silhouette. Mexican sun on a shoe born from the French alpine heritage: the Mundo Domingo x Salomon XT-4 OG transforms an unlikely encounter between tacos and trail running into a particularly coherent collaboration. Salomon expands U.S. Footprint: approaches ten stores with LA opening. Since launching its ambitious push into the American market two years ago, the sportswear and outdoor fashion powerhouse has established a robust presence with six stores and an outlet. 3 sep 2026 - 05:00 Salomon is strengthening its international expansion with a focus on the United States. The sports and outdoor apparel and footwear company continues to invest in the North American market with new stores, experiences, and a presence in the wholesale channel. Following the recent opening of its fourth store in New York, Salomon will open a new location in the Los Angeles area before the end of the year, according to company sources who spoke with Modaes. Currently, the company has a store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, which opened its doors in October of last year and is also Salomon's first store on the West Coast. One of Salomon's latest milestones in the United States was the opening of its flagship store in New York's Flatiron District. With a floor area of 4,900 square feet, the store is the company's largest in the country and offers its most comprehensive product selection. "The Flatiron store brings together the brand's full range of categories, from road, gravel, and trail running to hiking, apparel, and sportstyle, " Cooper says. Salomon will open its second store in the Los Angeles area by the end of the year In addition to being the largest, the Flatiron store is Salomon's fourth location in New York City, which the company says is the ideal place to showcase a broader expression of the brand. "The area is ideal because runners and outdoor enthusiasts often gather there, so we view the store as a strategic location for Salomon in the New York market, and it's the closest location to the company's offices in the city," the executive notes. Currently, the sports brand's retail network in the country comprises seven locations: six company-owned stores and one outlet. In addition, the company operates its own online channel and has a strong presence in wholesale distribution. Salomon began its expansion in the United States in 2024 with the opening of its first single-brand stores in the country. The company has grown amid the boom in sports and outdoor activities. "The United States is a key market for Salomon's global expansion and growth," company officials note. The company plans to continue developing store concepts tailored to the needs of each local market that serve as gathering places for the community. The company currently has seven stores in the U.S. market In this regard, Salomon also aims to continue expanding its presence in the United States through the wholesale channel, particularly in the running, hiking, and winter sports categories. In the United States, Salomon has offices in Ogden, Utah, and New York. The company is growing worldwide beyond the U.S. market. In fact, this week it announced a new store opening in Barcelona. As Modaes previously reported, Salomon also considers Latin America one of its main areas of expansion, with its first store openings in countries such as Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia. At the same time, the group has made significant changes to its structure, hiring executives from JD and Moncler to shape its expansion strategy. Amer Sports, owner of Salomon, as well as Arc'teryx and Wilson, ended the first quarter of 2026 with a net profit of $170 million, compared to the $138 million it earned in the first three months of 2025, raising its net income by 23% and increasing its sales by 32%.
