Nexcess adds Acronis threat detection and response to managed cloud servers

Nexcess, a managed cloud provider, has launched Acronis Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) as an add-on for its managed cloud servers. The software watches how programs behave on a server, flags activity that looks like an attack, and keeps a record of what happened. It is available from October 19, 2026, to any eligible customer. Nexcess handles setup, so customers install nothing. Those already running Acronis Backup or Disaster Recovery can use the Acronis agent on their servers. Alerts appear in the Nexcess portal, showing the affected server, severity, what was caught, and whether it was contained. The service is billed on one invoice. "We want to give our customers one partner for the server and the protection on it," said Michael Ohayon, general manager of managed cloud at Nexcess.
