Responsibilities
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from intake and sourcing strategy through candidate assessment, offer acceptance, and transition to onboarding.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring leaders and develop a strong understanding of their business, teams, and current and future talent needs.
  • Lead intake discussions to clarify the business need, define the ideal candidate profile, establish selection criteria, and align on roles, timelines, and expectations.
  • Advise hiring managers on role design, candidate requirements, market conditions, interview strategy, compensation considerations, and hiring decisions.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent through direct outreach, referrals, networking, market research, and targeted recruiting events.
  • Assess candidates for experience, capabilities, behaviors, motivation, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Lead structured, efficient interview and selection processes that promote consistency, reduce bias, and enable timely, evidence-based decisions.
  • Partner with hiring leaders, Compensation, and People Team colleagues to develop competitive and equitable offers.
  • Maintain candidate engagement and provide a professional, responsive, and transparent experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase quality of hire, reduce cycle time, strengthen accountability, and improve the hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Use recruiting data and market insights to evaluate effectiveness, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Support effective use and continuous improvement of the Applicant Tracking System and related recruiting tools.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least three to five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.

June 29, 2026 At Geotab Connect 2026, Chris Brown of Automotive Fleet spoke with David Glines, director of product management of technology products at Wheels about emerging technologies that are reshaping how fleets manage driver safety and data. Artificial intelligence is playing a major role in that shift. Instead of assigning generic safety training programs, new systems can analyze driver behavior and automatically generate personalized coaching and training modules tailored to individual drivers. Glines says these AI-powered tools can deliver targeted feedback in near real-time, helping drivers understand their behavior patterns and improve performance more effectively than traditional standardized courses. Glines also notes that interest in safety cameras has surged over the past year as costs decline and fleets increasingly recognize their value for improving driver behavior and reducing risk. However, he cautions that technology alone isn't enough. Alerts and warnings inside the vehicle must be paired with ongoing coaching and support from safety managers to create lasting behavior change.
