Position Highlights

• Practice atFirstHealth’sflagship campus – 402 bed acute care regional referral center.
• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients inmed-neuro,coronary care, and CVT units.
• Enjoy a high degree of autonomy and professional satisfaction.
• Averagecensusof28patientsis split between2Physiciansand2APPs per shift.Swing shift support.Nights covered byexperiencedAPP.
• Block schedule, 14 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Advanced Practice experience in a critical care settingis required.  
• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.NP must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Education program and have national certification.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.  
• Clean background, NC license, NC DEA, and AHAACLS certificationrequired.
