Requirements
  • Successfully completed a formal comprehensive training program in cardiac pacing and/or electrophysiology, or have two years of experience working with cardiac devices or in electrophysiology.
  • Have two years of experience as a Cardiac Device Specialist.
  • Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical, clinical, and related services in electrophysiology and cardiology for cardiac implantable electronic devices in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various cardiac implantable electronic device programmers.
  • Decipher complex cardiac device data elements.
  • Collaborate with the electrophysiology and cardiology team to provide quality patient care through accurate cardiac implantable electronic device management, arrhythmia interpretation, and device utilization for noninvasive arrhythmia termination protocols.
  • Manage and interpret cardiac implantable electronic device remote data and navigate necessary remote sites.
  • Provide physicians with global cardiac device knowledge.
  • Communicate various cardiac device applications to patients in a concise manner.
Desired Qualifications
  • Graduate from a recognized institution of cardiac device technology and/or cardiac electrophysiology.
  • Complete a bachelor's program in nursing, engineering, or a related field.
