About the job
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, or another relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Perform coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection of in-house repeat and First Article Inspection parts to ensure compliance with the inspection plan and customer specifications.
- Perform CMM offline programming to prepare programs for First Article inspection and save time.
- Update and monitor the Statistical Process Control chart to ensure a stable manufacturing process.
- Perform in-process and final quality-control inspection of in-house repeat and First Article Inspection parts to ensure compliance with the inspection plan and customer specifications.
- Record inspection results in the inspection checklist and Inspection Method Sheet.
- Prepare the outgoing inspection report according to customer requirements.
- Move completed inspected parts to the next operation to ensure parts flow according to the routing step.
- Raise a Non-Conformance Report for any non-conformance found to ensure the rejection is recorded.
- Schedule Material Review Board meetings to make disposition decisions for non-conforming parts.
- Monitor the inspection schedule using the dashboard to ensure minimum backlog.
- Support and participate in company improvement programs.
