Ripple nears $1B revenue as BNY's $63T custody empire embraces XRP.

Ripple nears $1B revenue as BNY's $63T custody empire embraces XRP. Ripple approaches $1B in annualized revenue as BNY, the world's largest custodian with $63T in assets, expands XRP custody services. Two data points, separated by decades of institutional inertia, converged this week in a way that would have seemed implausible even three years ago: Ripple is closing in on $1 billion in annualized revenue, and BNY - the Bank of New York Mellon, the world's largest custodian with $63 trillion in assets under custody - is expanding its XRP custody offering. Together, they sketch the outline of something the crypto industry has been promising for years and only sporadically delivering: genuine institutional infrastructure wrapped around a digital asset. The $1 billion revenue threshold matters for reasons that go beyond a round number. It places Ripple in a category of crypto-native companies that can credibly claim enterprise-grade staying power - firms whose revenue base is not a function of token speculation cycles but of recurring, contracted business relationships. For most of Ripple's history, critics pointed to its legal entanglement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an existential ceiling on growth. The SEC lawsuit cast a shadow over institutional adoption of XRP, limiting the willingness of regulated entities to touch the asset. That Ripple is approaching nine-figure annualized revenue in spite of that multi-year overhang - and accelerating toward it now that the regulatory cloud has substantially cleared - is a signal worth reading carefully. Why BNY's move is structurally different. Not every custody announcement is equal. When a crypto-native custodian adds a new asset, it is table stakes - an expected feature expansion in a competitive market. When the world's oldest bank and largest custodian, one that holds $63 trillion in assets on behalf of pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and the largest asset managers on the planet, formally expands into XRP custody, the signal is categorically different. BNY's decision is not a marketing headline. It is an infrastructure commitment, one that ripples - if the pun can be excused - through every client relationship BNY maintains. Custody at this scale is a compliance and operational decision made over months, sometimes years, involving legal teams, risk committees, and regulatory dialogue. BNY adding XRP custody means those internal gates have been cleared. It means the asset has been evaluated against BNY's risk framework and found acceptable. For institutional allocators sitting on the fence about XRP exposure, BNY's imprimatur carries a different weight than a crypto exchange announcing support. It is the difference between a boutique installing a new display case and the Louvre opening a new wing. The demand question. The more consequential question raised by these two developments together is what they mean for XRP token demand. Ripple's revenue growth suggests that its payment and liquidity products - particularly those built around On-Demand Liquidity, which uses XRP as a bridge currency in cross-border transactions - are gaining real commercial traction. Revenue at scale implies transaction volume at scale, which implies genuine programmatic demand for XRP as a functional asset rather than a speculative one. BNY's custody expansion adds a different demand vector. Institutional custody infrastructure is typically built ahead of client demand, not in response to it. Custodians build the rails before the trains run. The fact that BNY is investing in XRP custody infrastructure suggests its client base is either already asking for XRP exposure or is expected to do so in the near term. Either reading is constructive for the asset's long-term demand profile - not in the volatile, sentiment-driven way that tends to dominate crypto discourse, but in the slower, stickier way that comes from allocators building positions into portfolios with multi-year horizons. Infrastructure first, price second. There is a tendency in crypto coverage to immediately translate any institutional development into a price prediction. That framing tends to miss the more durable story. What is happening with Ripple and BNY is fundamentally an infrastructure story. The plumbing is being laid - custody rails, compliance frameworks, liquidity products - and the significance of that plumbing is independent of where XRP trades on any given day. Institutional infrastructure, once built, tends to persist. Custodians do not rapidly exit asset classes after making the operational investment to support them. Payment corridors, once opened, develop client dependencies that are difficult to unwind. Ripple approaching $1 billion in annualized revenue while BNY's $63 trillion custody empire extends its reach to XRP is not a story about a single token's price trajectory. It is a story about the slow, unglamorous, and ultimately decisive process by which a digital asset earns its place in the institutional financial system. That process is grinding forward, and the milestones this week suggest it is further along than the market may yet appreciate. James morrison. Cryptocurrency regulation correspondent. Ripple CEO denies XRP pivot rumours as firm eyes $900M in annualised product revenue

Ripple chief executive officer Brad Garlinghouse says the company will never give up on XRP. Speaking at Swell 2026 in New York, he rejected rumours that Ripple now favours its RLUSD stablecoin. "We will never give up on XRP," he told the audience. He called RLUSD "one contributor" to XRP's momentum and said the two are "very complementary." Ripple says it is on track to exit 2026 with $900 million in annualised product revenue. RLUSD's market cap stands at $2.6 billion, up more than 88% this year. Ripple also won final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for Ripple National Trust Bank. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also appeared at the event.

BNY to custody XRP, but a 0.1% allocation of its $63T would equal $63B, with no commitment made

BNY will offer custody for XRP, the token of payments firm Ripple, as part of a deeper partnership. The deal also covers custody for Ripple's stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), and tokenized trade finance on the XRP Ledger, with C2FO bringing trade finance to the ledger. BNY holds none of the token itself and has disclosed no XRP revenue or custody balance. It reported $63.4 trillion in assets under custody and administration as of September 30, 2026. A 0.1% shift of that sum into XRP would be $63.4 billion, or 75.7% of XRP's $83.8 billion market value. BNY has made no such commitment. Invoices are more likely to settle in RLUSD than XRP. XRP traded at $1.32 on October 27, 2026.

C2FO and Ripple bring instant-pay settlement plans to XRP Ledger.

C2FO and Ripple bring instant-pay settlement plans to XRP Ledger. Last Updated: October 28, 2026 1:00 pm 3 mins read TL;DR: C2FO and Ripple say their Instant Pay initiative will use the XRP Ledger and RLUSD to settle financing associated with approved supplier invoices. The official source also identifies specific limits or future steps, so implementation and market impact should not be assumed. C2FO and Ripple say their Instant Pay initiative will use the XRP Ledger and RLUSD to settle financing associated with approved supplier invoices. For digital-asset markets, the important issue is less the announcement in isolation than the channel through which it could affect users, capital or network activity. The latest development deserves attention, but its relevance depends on the facts published by the organisation behind it and the work still required to make it matter. What the primary announcement establishes. Suppliers on conventional payment terms can wait 30, 60 or 90 days after delivery, while early-payment arrangements may still face bank-settlement delays. C2FO says its established Early Pay programs have enabled more than 520 billion in accelerated working capital; that historical figure is not Instant Pay usage. The new design keeps agreed invoice terms intact while participating capital providers fund accelerated payments and RLUSD settles the payment on XRPL. Ripple describes the XRP Ledger as operating continuously with settlement in roughly three to five seconds, and C2FO is inviting interested firms to a waitlist. Why this could matter for crypto markets. Trade finance is an unusually concrete test of tokenization because the receivable already exists and the practical challenge is getting money to the supplier. The important distinction is between changing a company's contractual payment terms and reducing the time money spends in transit after financing is approved. If capital providers and recipients are properly integrated, faster settlement could make an existing financing product more useful. For financial institutions, a technical link is only the beginning. They must also settle liability, account for funds, control access and recover from a failed transfer. That is why announced partnerships are best judged by operating detail rather than by the number of logos appearing in a release. That distinction matters to investors trying to separate a plausible structural change from a headline that may not immediately move price or onchain activity. The limits of the headline. Being on a waitlist is not the same as a fully deployed service. No adoption volumes for Instant Pay, detailed fees or universal availability have been disclosed in the source announcement. Consider the difference between holding a token and using it in an everyday business process. Treasury teams and trading desks need reconciliation, internal approvals, liquidity at the point of conversion and an auditable record. Projects that solve those edges may have more practical impact than projects that simply shorten onchain confirmation times. The wider context. C2FO Instant Pay on XRP Ledger sits within a wider shift toward trade finance. This area has a recurring challenge: the benefits are easiest to describe before the operational details are complete. Different stakeholders measure success differently. A user wants clarity and predictable access; an operator wants reliable controls and manageable costs; an institution wants accountability if something fails. Those perspectives can be in tension, and the source announcement should be read with that in mind. The distinction also shapes how to read future updates. A new partnership, proposal or software version is a verifiable milestone. Adoption, consistent performance and financial effects require additional evidence. That is why follow-up reporting should distinguish released features, planned features and measured use rather than combining them into one claim. What to watch next. Watch for customer pilots, capital-provider commitments, fees, geography and evidence that faster ledger settlement produces quicker receipt of usable fiat funds for suppliers. Adoption is rarely a single launch moment. It typically moves from a commercial agreement to limited implementation, onboarding, real transaction volume and eventually routine usage. Keeping those stages separate matters when evaluating institutional blockchain announcements. The next evidence should come from official implementation updates and measurable outcomes, not from assuming that a news release guarantees adoption or a token-price response. Ripple reports banner year approaching $900M annual product revenue run rate, signs multi-solution partnerships with BNY, Robinhood and more. Team Ripple Kicking off Ripple Swell 2026, Ripple receives final approval from the OCC for a National Trust Bank charter NEW YORK, October 28, 2026 - Ripple, the leading provider of blockchain solutions across traditional and digital finance, today reported the company is on track to exit 2026 with $900 million in annualized product revenue. Combining native product growth and strategic acquisitions in 2025, the company's focus this year is integration - and the results speak for themselves. With over $16 trillion in transactions enabled across Ripple's products in 2025, the opportunity to convert this volume onto digital rails is historic. With over 85 licenses, Ripple has built end-to-end digital asset infrastructure that gives 1,700+ institutions, corporates and enterprises always-on access to move, manage, hold and tokenize value. This year, Ripple has seen 3X growth in customers and partners such as BNY, DriveWealth, Robinhood, and Water.org using multiple solutions together including payments, custody, stablecoin, prime brokerage and treasury management. "As traditional and digital finance converge, market infrastructure is migrating to modern rails. Settlement is moving to real-time, 24/7, and tokenized assets can be traded, financed and used as collateral," said Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple. "Ripple is at the epicenter of this massive transformation to rewire the world's financial system, solving the inefficiencies that have slowed money movement for decades with digital assets like XRP. Others focus on individual pieces of the puzzle - Ripple is bringing all of that together, with our partners, to enable the Internet of Value." A Compliance-First Approach to Holding and Moving Value Globally The foundation of Ripple's business is enabling blockchain infrastructure to help businesses move money between their global accounts more efficiently, 24/7. With 60+ payout markets and the network approaching $150 billion in lifetime volume by year end, Ripple Payments and Custody allow banks and fintechs such as DBS, HSBC, FirstRand Bank, and Standard Chartered to move and manage their assets around the world. This includes accepting and collecting stablecoins, securely storing assets, and/or paying out in their preferred currency through end-to-end rails with managed custody technology, and institutional trading and liquidity capabilities via Ripple OTC. Ripple USD (RLUSD) remains the gold standard for reserves and compliance among USD stablecoins, as Ripple receives final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for chartering Ripple National Trust Bank (RNTB), a federally supervised national trust bank. Now at a $2.6 billion market cap, up more than 88% year to date, RLUSD is utilized across all of Ripple's solutions as an enterprise-grade, regulated digital dollar, and trusted as the stablecoin facilitating onchain repo markets. RLUSD is now available across the world's largest crypto exchanges and trading platforms, including Coinbase, Robinhood, Binance, Kraken and OKX, and partnerships with Cross River and Mastercard are expanding its role in payment settlement. Extending Always-On Finance Across Treasury and Capital Markets The growth of 24/7 markets is enabled through around-the-clock access to venues and asset classes that can be cross-margined. Ripple Prime plays a vital role in providing capital efficiencies across pools of liquidity for the underlying assets being traded. As institutions look to trade derivatives like real-world asset (RWA) perpetual futures and access prediction market venues, this connective tissue is key for broad adoption and scale. Ripple Prime is enabling support for event contracts, and RWA perpetual futures, through the settlement, financing and clearing of transactions across venues and trading partners, including Jump Trading, Kalshi, Hyperliquid, Virtu, and Rothera. Clients now have one prime brokerage platform spanning equities, FX, futures, fixed income and digital assets, with a single point of access, financing and clearing across traditional and digital markets. With digital rails powering instant global settlement, the opportunity to bring stablecoins and digital asset rails to streamline corporate treasury flows is growing rapidly. Ripple Treasury introduced a new platform for the office of the CFO, powered by an orchestration layer that connects cash management, forecasting, liquidity, and payments. The launch includes 24/7 Returns, enabling customers to put idle operating cash to work outside banking hours through RLUSD, tokenized money market funds on XRP Ledger (XRPL), and Ripple's institutional liquidity infrastructure. Serving more than 1,000 customers across 160 countries, Ripple Treasury is helping businesses such as American Airlines and Trax automate workflows and manage money around the clock. Building on the Blockchain Designed for Movement of Value Ripple's products and solutions provide the full stack of enterprise financial infrastructure, built on the XRPL, a public blockchain designed for the efficient movement of value. Ripple, alongside the XRP community, continues to expand XRPL's capabilities across payments, collateral and liquidity, and credit and financing. New features like Permissioned Delegation and Batch Transactions give institutions greater control over account permissions and privacy. Building on capital markets use cases with Aviva Investors, Franklin Templeton and DBS, Ripple and BNY are expanding their collaboration to advance tokenized trade finance on the XRPL, starting with a supplier finance initiative with C2FO. Wallet infrastructure is also expanding how businesses and developers use the XRPL - for example, Privy, a Stripe company, is supporting payments with XRP, RLUSD and other digital assets on the XRPL through programmable wallets, including for AI agents. Digital Asset Utility Grows with Awareness As Ripple kicks off its 10th annual Swell event, bringing together over 1,500 financial institutions, builders, asset managers, regulators and XRP enthusiasts, the company is also launching a global campaign to bring awareness of digital asset utility to modernize global finance with actor, producer and businessman, Miles Teller. Ripple is rewiring the global financial system and making the Internet of Value - where value moves the same way information does today - a reality. Learn more at ripple.com Product availability varies by jurisdiction. Please check with your Ripple representative for more information. About Ripple Founded in 2012, Ripple is a leading provider of blockchain solutions rewiring the global financial system. With over 85 licenses, Ripple provides a single trusted entry point for enterprises with payments, custody, prime brokerage and treasury management solutions. Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, and the digital asset XRP underpin these capabilities, enabling Ripple and its customers to bridge the worlds of traditional and digital finance.
