Requirements
  • Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate artificial intelligence into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, such as using artificial-intelligence-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing artificial-intelligence-driven insights, or exploring artificial intelligence's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in user experience research, product research, human-computer interaction, behavioral science, or a related field.
  • Strong grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including generative and evaluative approaches, with sound judgment in sampling, survey design, experimentation, bias, validity, and data interpretation.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities across the end-user journey by connecting large-scale behavioral data with qualitative insights, shaping product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Set research strategy and prioritize the research portfolio around high-impact user and business questions, selecting approaches that balance scope, depth, speed, and confidence to guide investment decisions.
  • Translate user needs and behaviors into clear signals that inform the design, development, and evaluation of artificial-intelligence and machine-learning systems.
  • Define the evaluation strategy for artificial-intelligence-powered experiences, establishing frameworks, quality standards, and shared success measures across product, design, and machine-learning teams that connect model performance to usability, relevance, trust, and user outcomes.
  • Investigate model and experience failures, identify recurring patterns, and recommend improvements across the product and underlying systems.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to product, design, engineering, data science, and machine-learning leaders, framing critical questions, challenging assumptions, and aligning teams on evidence-based product direction.
  • Evaluate new concepts and product experiences throughout development, from early discovery and prototyping through launch and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate findings through clear narratives, data visualizations, research artifacts, and recommendations tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience conducting lean user experience research in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience researching artificial-intelligence-powered, machine-learning, conversational, search, or recommendation experiences.
  • Experience developing or improving evaluation systems, benchmarks, rubrics, or quality metrics for artificial-intelligence products.
  • Familiarity with product analytics, experimentation platforms, data visualization tools, or statistical analysis software.
  • Experience using SQL, R, Python, or similar tools; technical fluency is valued, but hands-on programming experience is not required.

Over 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40%+: four bargain tech picks, from Netflix to Oracle

More than 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40% or more from their highs, even with the index near record levels, as of October 8, 2026. The Motley Fool sees that as a chance to hunt for bargains in tech. It names four picks. Netflix trades at about 18.5 times 2027 analyst earnings estimates, and advertising should drive its growth. Oracle has a $664 billion backlog in cloud infrastructure, but carries heavy debt and burns cash. ServiceNow, hit by the 2026 software sell-off, trades at 7.5 times forward sales as it pushes into agentic AI. AppLovin trades at 13 times 2027 earnings estimates. Its revenue rose 53% last quarter to $1.9 billion.

CFOs at Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq say AI must earn capital; ServiceNow targets $500M savings

Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq finance chiefs say AI projects must prove their worth before getting funded. They spoke on a panel at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Santa Barbara on Tuesday. Chevron's chief financial officer, Eimear Bonner, said AI "has got to compete for capital" and cannot be "a science experiment." She wants a clear path to value and results that reach the bottom line. ServiceNow's Gina Mastantuno said CFOs must also weigh the cost of falling behind rivals. The company expects $500 million in savings this year, largely from using its own products. Nasdaq's Sarah Youngwood sorts investments by time horizon and tracks AI metrics such as coding speed, client retention and token costs.
