Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience is needed for most opportunities.
  • Experience using Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data processes.
  • Experience with at least one relational database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure data availability, including data movement, modification, and storage, in collaboration with Software Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • Help build innovative solutions for customers as a Data Engineer.
  • Build and deploy AI and machine learning applications supporting national security missions using the Databricks platform for data science and engineering.
  • Transform complex model outputs into interactive dashboards.
  • Deploy solutions in JWICS, NIPR, and SIPR environments using AWS and Agile practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with database design, server management, connection protocols, database normalization, and principles of information theory.
  • Experience with data cleaning or data organization.
  • Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, graph databases, and data lakes.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools similar to Qlik.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and the design and implementation of unique data transfer protocols.
