Snap advances 4% as Specs glasses add Salesforce and NVIDIA enterprise tools; Meta holds steady.

Snap advances 4% as Specs glasses add Salesforce and NVIDIA enterprise tools; Meta holds steady. Snap just strapped Salesforce, NVIDIA, and Amazon onto its AR glasses and called it an enterprise play, but one critical question separates a clever demo from a real business. Snap (NYSE:SNAP | SNAP Price Prediction) is catching a bid Thursday morning after the company used a Los Angeles event to layer workplace software into its Specs augmented reality (AR) glasses. Snap stock is up 4% to $5.95, extending a modest bounce off recent lows for a name that has struggled to hold rallies in 2026. The move sits inside a firm broad-tech session, with the Invesco QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ) up 1.38% to $714.45. Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META), the incumbent in consumer AR through Ray-Ban Meta and Reality Labs, is holding steady. META shares are up 0.4% to $675.88, so that stock doesn't appear to be reacting to Snap's announcement. Snap has quietly repositioned Specs from a consumer curiosity into a piece of workplace hardware, and the partner list is the tell. That's a different pitch to a different buyer, at a price point that looks very different depending on who is signing the invoice. Enterprise partners reframe the Specs pitch. Snap disclosed on Wednesday that Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) is embedding its Agentforce agent platform into Specs, letting workers reach company data and automate tasks through the glasses. That places Snap's hardware inside a workflow layer many large employers already run, which shortens the distance between a demo and a deployment. NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) supplies the artificial intelligence that lets Specs interpret what a worker is looking at and pull up the relevant company data. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is contributing its cloud unit's assistant so employees can use voice commands for tasks such as checking product availability on a warehouse floor or in the field. Snap also unveiled a Specs Intelligence service, with a separately sold charging case carrying cellular connectivity through carrier partners including Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) in the U.S. Snap didn't disclose financial terms for any of the tie-ups, so today's action prices a positioning change rather than a booked business one. That distinction matters, because Specs has to convert enterprise interest into actual purchase orders to move Snap's revenue line. Meta holds the incumbent ground. Meta Platforms remains the reference point in head-worn devices for consumers, and its restrained move today suggests investors see Snap's enterprise angle as adjacent to, rather than directly competing with, the Ray-Ban lineup. Meta is still the far larger balance sheet in this category and the one with mainstream retail distribution, and its own AR roadmap continues to advance in parallel. Free Report, Just Released Why Didn't NVDA Make The Top 10 List? 24/7 Wall St has helped investors make money for over two decades, and our top analysts just finished ranking the definitive Top 10 Stocks To Buy Now. Not the ten biggest companies. Not the ten everyone is arguing about. The ten best stocks to buy right now. And NVDA didn't make the cut! The report is free, and you can see why we think each stock is a top investment today. Specs carries a premium price tag. The device was unveiled in June at $2,195, a figure that lands very differently on a corporate purchase order than on a household budget, according to Snap. Changing who the buyer is, from a consumer weighing a discretionary splurge to a company outfitting a factory floor or field-service crew, is the crux of the Snap bull case. Sector read and peer reaction. The Global X Social Media ETF (NASDAQ:SOCL) is a natural sector proxy and carries Meta Platforms and Snap as sizable weights, yet the day's action is Snap-specific rather than a group revaluation. Salesforce, NVIDIA, Amazon, and Verizon are each contributing pieces of the stack without any disclosed dollar impact of their own. Zooming out, Snap stock is still down 28% year to date (YTD) even after this bounce, and Meta Platforms stock is up only modestly on the year. Today's gain doesn't reset either of those trends on its own, and it doesn't answer the volume question that ultimately decides whether Specs becomes a real business rather than a well-received demo. What to watch. Snap has said shipping begins later this fall in the U.S., the U.K., and France, with a Los Angeles shopping-mall try-on experience starting in October. Traders can watch for early enterprise order commentary once units are in the field, since nothing announced this week confirms whether companies will buy Specs in meaningful quantity. Investors sizing new exposure to Snap may want to keep their positions modest given the stock's volatility, the unproven revenue contribution from Specs, and the larger competitive shadow cast by Meta Platforms. A staged approach lets them scale into evidence, if enterprise adoption shows up, rather than paying today for a pitch that hasn't yet turned into bookings. The next real test for Snap comes when shipping starts and enterprise buyers begin to weigh in with orders rather than headlines. Got $1,000? Before you buy NVDA, read this. Snap Launches SPECS Intelligence AI Service for iPhone, Mac, and SPECS AR Glasses.

Snap Launches SPECS Intelligence AI Service for iPhone, Mac, and SPECS AR Glasses. Snap has announced the launch of SPECS Intelligence, an AI service designed to work across iPhone, Mac, and SPECS AR glasses. 17 September 2026 Snap Inc. has announced a new AI service called SPECS Intelligence. The company describes it as a "new anticipatory AI service designed to work across iPhone, Mac, and SPECS augmented reality (AR) glasses, helping you manage what needs attention today while making progress towards your longer-term goals." The service basically learns about goals, priorities, relationships and routines from one's connected accounts, with the aim of carrying that context across devices and becoming more useful over time. The company says SPECS Intelligence is designed to anticipate when assistance could be useful rather than waiting for users to ask. For example, ahead of a meeting, it could surface important decisions, questions and reminders. Similarly, before a trip, it could pull together flight, hotel and dinner reservations while also flagging a work deadline that falls during the visit. SPECS Intelligence also includes features called Corners and Goals. Corners are designed to organise different parts of a user's life, such as work and family, while Goals help users define and track things they want to accomplish. Snap says the idea is to connect everyday tasks with the broader priorities behind them. The service can be used without SPECS AR glasses, but the glasses add another layer by bringing relevant information into the user's field of view. For instance, someone travelling could say "Hey SPECS" to access flight details, hotel information, reservations and reminders. Before heading to work, users could also ask SPECS about their day to receive a schedule overview and meeting preparation information where available. Privacy is a key part of the service, according to Snap. Users decide which accounts and information they connect, while Snap says its personnel cannot view or access the personal content used with SPECS Intelligence. The company also says personal content from connected accounts will not be used to train or fine-tune its AI models or for personalised advertising. SPECS Intelligence uses a combination of on-device processing and secure cloud infrastructure, with security measures applied wherever data is processed. SPECS Intelligence: availability. Snap is currently opening up access through a waitlist on SPECS Intelligence, as well as through the SPECS app. The full early-access experience will initially be available exclusively through the SPECS Mac App and will require an invitation. Selected users will receive an email invitation to sign in on Mac and connect their everyday apps. Meanwhile, users aged 18 and above in the U.S. can download the SPECS iOS app and try the SPECS Intelligence preview without an invitation. By connecting a Google account, users can get insights into where they spend their time and attention based on information from Gmail and Google Calendar. The mobile preview is more limited than the full service. It currently focuses on personal insights and does not offer the broader anticipatory suggestions or actions planned for SPECS Intelligence. Snap reveals what its $2,195 Specs smart glasses can do.

Snap reveals what its $2,195 Specs smart glasses can do. Snap has revealed more details about its new Specs augmented reality glasses, giving users a better look at what the expensive smart glasses can actually do. The company says the device is designed to make computing more natural by bringing digital content and AI features directly into the user's view. Snap first announced the latest Specs in June at the Augmented World Expo. The glasses are priced at $2,195 and are expected to start shipping to customers in fall 2026. The Specs combine augmented reality with several everyday features. Users can make phone calls through Bluetooth, listen to music through Spotify, and capture photos and videos. The glasses also include a display that allows users to watch content from services such as YouTube and HBO Max. The glasses can also be used for shopping. Through a partnership with Shopify, users can view 3D versions of products, place them virtually in their surroundings, and complete purchases. Real-Time translation and sports features. One of the more useful features is real-time language translation. The Specs can listen to another person speaking a different language and provide a translation through the built-in speakers. The translated text can also appear on the glasses' display. Snap has partnered with Tripadvisor to expand the translation experience. Users can translate local phrases, reviews, and currencies while traveling. The company is also developing augmented reality experiences for sports. Through partnerships with the NBA and WNBA, the Specs can provide visual guides and training instructions when users practice basketball using real hoops and balls. Similar AR features are planned for sports such as soccer and golf. For golf, the glasses are designed to provide information that could help players improve their technique. Snap is also developing other interactive experiences that blend virtual elements with the physical environment. Games and entertainment. Snap is using the Specs for entertainment as well. An HBO Max partnership brings Harry Potter-themed AR experiences to the glasses. Users can interact with virtual elements and take part in experiences inspired by the franchise. Two people wearing Specs can also play digital games together. Supported experiences include chess, ping pong, Battleship and dominoes. The glasses can even interact with physical books. While reading, users can highlight passages, save sections, and bookmark their position. Snap is also promoting features for meditation and digital DJ experiences, expanding the glasses beyond traditional smart-glasses functions. Specs target businesses too. Snap is also positioning the Specs as a tool for businesses. The company has partnerships with Salesforce, Amazon, and Nvidia to develop enterprise applications. These applications could allow workers to see information, codes, or product specifications directly in their field of view. The glasses could also help employees locate specific parts or check whether products are available in backstock. This puts the Specs in competition with other AR devices aimed at industrial and workplace applications. Snap focuses on privacy. Privacy remains an important issue for camera-equipped smart glasses. Snap says its Specs do not record the surrounding world simply to understand it and do not use facial recognition to identify people. The glasses also include an LED indicator that turns on when the cameras are taking photos or recording video. This is intended to make it clearer to people nearby when the cameras are active. New Specs Intelligence AI service. Alongside the glasses, Snap has introduced a new AI service called Specs Intelligence. The service is available on iPhone and Mac as well as the Specs, meaning users can access it without owning the glasses. Snap describes Specs Intelligence as an "anticipatory AI" system. Instead of only responding to individual questions, it is designed to learn about a user's routines, priorities, and goals and anticipate what they may need. The service can connect with selected apps and tools, including calendars, email and location information. It can then help users with tasks such as finding hotels, planning trips, and answering questions. Snap organizes information into areas such as work, family, and personal goals. The approach requires users to connect different sources of personal information so the AI can build a broader understanding of their routines. Despite the range of features, the $2,195 price and the physical size of the Specs could affect their appeal. The glasses are considerably larger and heavier than ordinary eyewear, raising questions about comfort during activities such as sports. Snap plans to give potential buyers an opportunity to test the glasses before purchasing. A Specs First Look demonstration will begin on October 1 at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. The company is betting that augmented reality, AI, and hands-free computing can make its Specs part of everyday life. Whether consumers will be willing to pay $2,195 for that experience will become clearer once the glasses reach the market. Snap targets enterprises with Salesforce, Nvidia AI tools for augmented-reality glasses.

Snap targets enterprises with Salesforce, Nvidia AI tools for augmented-reality glasses. Published Sep 17, 2026, 08:30 AM Updated Sep 17, 2026, 08:30 AM American tech company Snap on Sept 16 announced partnerships with companies including Salesforce, Nvidia and Amazon Web Services to integrate workplace tools into its Specs augmented-reality glasses, courting enterprise demand to carve a foothold in the heavily contested market. Unveiled in June with a hefty price tag of US$2,195 (S$2,805), Specs is a major bet by the Evan Spiegel-led social media company in a category drawing increasing investments and consumer interest and dominated by Big Tech rival Meta. Apple, however, has seen mixed results in making its Vision Pro headset a mainstream success, underlining the challenges facing the AI-powered gadgets segment. To drive sales in a tough market, Snap is positioning its AR glasses as a workplace device for businesses seeking hands-free computing solutions in environments traditionally disconnected from desktops, such as factory floors, retail outlets and field service operations. Snap said enterprise software maker Salesforce would add its AI agent platform Agentforce into Specs, allowing workers to access company data and automate tasks through the glasses. Nvidia will power the AI, enabling Specs to interpret a worker's visual environment and retrieve relevant company data, while Amazon Web Services will offer its AI assistant, allowing employees to use voice commands for tasks such as checking product availability. Snap did not disclose the financial terms of the partnerships, which include those with software company Trifork and augmented-reality software firm Hololight.
