About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of progressive professional experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role owning the full supply side of a major e-commerce, B2B marketplace, or high-growth fintech platform.
  • Experience operating marketplace selection through a cause-to-effect model covering breadth, price, stock, fit, and quality, while managing causal inputs rather than reporting outputs.
  • Ability to build and run decision-grade governance with daily input pulses, weekly reviews, and monthly decisions focused on inputs; ensure each build has a named commercial owner and committed action.
  • Ability to price merchant acquisition by merchant maturity, value, and mix, and manage concentration as a health metric.
  • Experience building data-driven category prioritization and brand-tiering methods using market size, search and demand signals, internal performance, and momentum, and executing hunt-and-farm plans.
  • Ability to assess category productivity using GMV per seller and listings per seller, and activate existing catalogues rather than over-publishing.
  • Experience scaling and professionalizing multidisciplinary acquisition, account management, and operations teams at a size and scope comparable to the current team.
  • Proven experience scaling a merchant or partner base from a similar size of 1,600 or more sellers to substantially higher volumes while protecting or improving quality and trust metrics such as repurchase rate.
  • Experience implementing data-driven seller scoring or policy enforcement programs that improve selection and pricing competitiveness.
  • Ability to design and implement pricing and policy mechanisms, including category-based merchant pricing, to optimize marketplace unit economics.
  • Experience translating the supply base into a commercial asset and monetizing seasonal merchandising merchant go-to-market programs.
  • Financial accountability for supply-side performance, including profitability and competitiveness.
  • Ability to use quality, pricing, and repurchase-rate data to diagnose root causes, prioritize actions, and improve merchant selection and performance.
  • Experience establishing and governing measurement systems such as the Product Bible, using metrics to guide Merchant Acquisition and Success teams.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable for measurable quality metrics, including product quality tickets and repurchase rate.
  • Ability to partner strategically with Product and Engineering and translate merchant operational needs into roadmaps for tools such as the Seller Portal.
  • Understanding of how catalog infrastructure that mirrors Vtex and large language model-based enrichment improve scalability and the end-customer experience.
  • Ability to ensure tooling initiatives maximize seller self-service and data visibility.
  • Experience mobilizing and managing multidisciplinary Acquisition, Success, and Engineering teams to deliver complex initiatives rapidly.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute across competing initiatives while meeting major deadlines.
  • Experience scaling and professionalizing Merchant Success and Acquisition teams through standards, playbooks, and ongoing coaching structures.
  • Ability to define roles, key performance indicators, and training that enable Merchant Success to manage high order volumes and improve end-to-end order visibility.
  • Ability to foster a high-performance culture of autonomy and ownership.
Responsibilities
  • Build Addi's growth engine across both sides of gross merchandise volume by growing active sellers by more than 150% and the published base twofold, shifting the mix toward strategic categories and reducing dependence on the top 25 sellers.
  • Improve pricing and quality on high-impact listings to compete with MeLi and Falabella, and reduce merchant-driven order issues by 30% across more than 80,000 monthly orders.
  • Own the commercial calendar around demand peaks, convert programs such as Fulfilled by Addi into direct revenue, and provide self-service tooling to scale the merchant base without increasing headcount.
  • Close the selection gap upstream of demand by improving brand coverage and category productivity.
  • Build and scale the integrated financial engine supporting Addi's banking operations, providing a forward-looking view of capital, liquidity, and earnings for decision-making.
  • Lead and professionalize multidisciplinary acquisition, account management, and operations teams.
  • Establish and govern the Product Bible and use its metrics to guide Merchant Acquisition and Success teams.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to translate merchant needs into the Seller Portal roadmap and tooling initiatives.
  • Mobilize Acquisition, Success, and Engineering teams to deliver initiatives including catalog development and pricing restructuring.
  • Launch and professionalize programs such as the Fulfilled by Addi go-to-market quickly.
  • Define Merchant Success team roles, performance indicators, and training to manage order volume and improve end-to-end visibility.
  • Hold teams accountable for product quality and repurchase-rate measures.

About the company

Addi provides buy now, pay later (BNPL) financing in Latin America, enabling consumers to split purchases into installments without a credit card. The platform supports both online and in-store payments and aims to increase purchasing power with quick credit checks that can be completed via national ID and a WhatsApp verification. Short-term plans are zero-interest, while longer-term installments carry interest. For merchants, Addi acts as a payment option that can boost sales and conversion by offering flexible terms; it integrates with various e-commerce systems and supports in-store sales. The business model charges merchants a fee for each transaction processed through the platform. Addi focuses on LATAM markets, especially Colombia and Brazil, to expand access to credit and grow merchant networks.

Colombian fintech Addi raises $86M Series D, first major round since Rappi

Colombian fintech Addi has closed an $86 million Series D round, marking the country's largest startup funding since Rappi's raise years ago. The round was led by Citius and co-led by Brazilian bank BTG Pactual, with participation from Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and Monashees. Addi operates a buy-now-pay-later model serving 5.5 million customers and 76,000 merchants across Colombia. The company has been profitable for eight consecutive quarters, generating $6.5 million in net profit in 2025. The funds will primarily support customer acquisition and artificial intelligence development. Addi plans to maintain its 490-person headcount whilst more than doubling transaction volumes and revenue. In April 2026, Addi received regulatory approval to operate as a finance company, enabling it to accept public deposits and offer savings accounts backed by Colombia's deposit insurance fund.

Goldman Sachs debuts $50M forward flow deal with Colombian fintech Addi

Colombian fintech Addi has closed a $50 million portfolio sale agreement with Goldman Sachs under a Forward Flow structure, marking the investment bank's first such operation in Colombia. The mechanism involves an investor committing to regularly purchase portfolios originated by a company, a structure commonly used in the US, Europe and Mexico. CEO Santiago Suárez said the scheme expands Addi's financing alternatives and helps manage growing funding needs whilst diversifying capital sources beyond traditional debt. This transaction represents Addi's fourth financial milestone in 2026. In May, the company announced a $150 million warehouse credit line led by J.P. Morgan. In July, it closed an $85 million Series D round led by Citius and co-led by BTG Pactual. Founded in 2018, Addi serves over three million consumers through a network of 39,000 allied merchants in Colombia.

Addi secures $150M credit line led by J.P. Morgan, exceeding $680M in total debt commitments

Addi, a Colombian fintech, has secured a $150 million structured credit line through a special purpose vehicle, led by J.P. Morgan with $130 million and Fasanara contributing $20 million. This marks J.P. Morgan's first warehouse-type structure with a Colombian company. The transaction brings Addi's total debt commitments to over $680 million, establishing its strongest liquidity position to date. CEO Santiago Suárez described the deal as a strategic relationship rather than merely a transaction. The announcement follows Addi's recent approval as a financing company on 8 April, enabling it to accept public deposits under Colombia's financial regulatory framework. The licence allows Addi to expand beyond purchase financing into savings products, with deposits covered by Fogafín deposit insurance.
