Requirements
  • Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a Bachelor's Degree with two years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with current technology applications, including technology used in education.
  • Detail orientation and accuracy in recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ability to manage budgets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external parties.
  • Experience organizing, promoting, and coordinating processes and events.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including a motor vehicle records report.
  • Ability to work altered schedules, including evenings and weekends, and travel within the college service area when required.
  • Ability to perform the physical and communication demands of the position, including computer-based office work and occasional driving.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee credit and non-credit courses, including scheduling and adjunct faculty selection.
  • Partner with the campus marketing professional to promote classes and produce bulletins.
  • Manage budgets associated with credit and non-credit programming, First Year Experience, and other assigned programs.
  • Partner with the Assistant Dean of Instruction and student affairs to create semester class schedules.
  • Support campus faculty in using Canvas and provide related assistance and expertise.
  • Review and coordinate updates and required documentation for the campus adjunct faculty credentialing process.
  • Verify, request, and coordinate information in response to credentialing requests.
  • Coordinate the learning management program, including textbook adoptions, desk-copy requests, and assistance with student textbook returns.
  • Co-lead the campus First Year Experience program.
  • Serve as a resource and provide technical, operational, and materials support to adjunct faculty.
  • Provide assessment assistance to the Assistant Dean of Instruction when necessary.
  • Assign and coordinate training for newly hired and ongoing adjunct faculty when needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with the CEPA Coordinator or act as the CEPA Coordinator to ensure CEPA classes are programmed and operating properly.
  • Review and verify Canvas course syllabi for credit and non-credit adjunct faculty and other adjunct faculty as needed.
  • Participate in campus committees and events and chair assigned committees, such as professional development and instructional equipment committees.
  • Manage records, data, and reporting for all areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with aspects of program coordination and support.
  • Experience with community education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology used in educational environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or conversational language abilities.
