  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey is required.
  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey is required.
  • At least two years of related nursing experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications are required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate under the administrative and clinical direction and leadership of the Director of the Neonatology Program and collaborate with healthcare providers in the Mother-Baby Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, FICN and FIN Nurseries, and Labor and Delivery areas.
  • Provide primary care for high-risk newborn infants in the specified clinical locations in accordance with hospital objectives, policies and procedures and the New Jersey State Advanced Nurse Practice Act.
  • Participate under the direction of the Director of Neonatology and collaborate with the Attending Neonatologist, Nurse Manager, and nursing staff in the Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Nurseries and Labor and Delivery Room.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and community agencies, including DCP&P and community nursing services.
