About the company

DayOne Data Centers designs and operates next-generation digital infrastructure, providing colocation and customized data center solutions for hyperscalers and large enterprises. Its rapid modular deployment uses prefabricated components and the SIJORI data corridor to deliver low-latency, scalable capacity, such as a Johor greenfield project completed in about 8.5 months. The facilities use high-efficiency liquid cooling and intelligent infrastructure management, with renewable-ready designs and low-carbon construction, including solid oxide fuel cells in Singapore. With roughly 480MW in service or under construction and 590MW planned across Asia-Pacific and Europe, DayOne aims to support high-performance computing, cloud, and AI workloads while expanding its regional footprint with strong funding from large investors.

DayOne and Sembcorp partner to secure renewable power for Asian data centres

DayOne and Sembcorp have signed an agreement to supply power to data centres in Asia. The deal supports DayOne's plan to secure power earlier in the development process. DayOne aims to use 100% renewable energy by 2030, where market conditions allow. It already has renewable energy arrangements in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, including a Sembcorp power purchase agreement for its upcoming SG1 data centre. Sembcorp has also explored low-carbon power supply for AI data centres with Nxera. Singapore has a data centre regulatory framework. On August 22, 2025, it launched an information technology energy efficiency standard for data centres.

It says this lets it deliver data center projects in Southeast Asia in eight to 12 months. "Prefabrication and modularization are key to delivering infrastructure at the pace required by the AI era," said chief executive officer Jamie Khoo. Founded in 2022, DayOne operates across ten markets in Asia Pacific and Europe.

DayOne said to weigh options including delay, size cut for US IPO after data centre rout.

DayOne said to weigh options including delay, size cut for US IPO after data centre rout. It has not made a final decision and may still move ahead with the offering in the coming weeks Published Wed, Oct 21, 2026 · 12:28 PM * The firm initially considered raising up to US$5 billion from the listing and was eyeing a valuation of about US$20 billion. PHOTO: DAYONE [HONG KONG] DayOne Data Centers is weighing options for its US initial public offering, including a potential delay or size cut, as volatility around data centres increases, according to people familiar with the matter. While Singapore-based DayOne has been waiting for the right window to launch the IPO, it has also been considering the possibility of pushing back the share sale until the market recovers, the people said. Other options include going ahead with a smaller listing that may raise US$2.5 billion to US$3 billion, roughly half of what it had originally aimed for, the people said. DayOne, whose backers include Coatue and Hillhouse, is continuing to engage with potential investors and still wants to move forward as soon as the market allows, the people said. The company was initially considering raising as much as US$5 billion from the listing as soon as the fourth quarter, people familiar with the matter said previously. It had been eyeing a valuation of about US$20 billion, the people have said. Deliberations are ongoing and DayOne has not made any final decisions, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. The business times turns 50. Five decades of milestones and moments that shaped Singapore's success story - told through our headlines. Explore BT50" The company could still opt to move ahead with the offering in the coming weeks, according to the people. DayOne declined to comment. While data centres have drawn global investor demand amid a boom in sectors related to artificial intelligence, a more negative sentiment has started to have ripple effects on IPOs. DayOne has been raising billions of dollars in private funding rounds as it seeks capital to build out its pipeline. Australian data centre company Firmus Grid pulled its roughly US$5 billion IPO when investors balked at the valuation it sought, while AirTrunk, which also operates data centres, delayed a planned real estate investment trust IPO in Singapore to 2027. South Korean digital infrastructure company Elice plunged 32 per cent in its Seoul trading debut on Tuesday. Coreweave's shares have more than halved since their May peak, and Nscale is facing pushback over its target IPO valuation, Bloomberg News has reported. On Wednesday, shares of Australian data centre operator Nextdc plummeted after it cut earnings guidance. Some investors are hoping that the recent market volatility will pass after the US midterm elections on Nov 3. They are also looking ahead to the performance of Anthropic's upcoming listing as an important gauge of sentiment towards the AI sector. DayOne filed for a US IPO earlier in October. The offering is being led by Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Bank of America and Citigroup. IFR reported on Monday that DayOne was gathering more investor feedback before launching the share sale. DayOne is running or developing data centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Finland and Spain. Other backers include GDS Holdings, the SoftBank Vision Fund and Citadel's Ken Griffin. BLOOMBERG Share with us your feedback on BT's products and services

This follows the recent upsize of its senior secured multi-currency syndicated term financing in Malaysia to approximately US$7.2 billion in total. These milestones demonstrate DayOne's ability to deliver on customer commitments and execute at scale. DayOne continues to strengthen its capital base to support its growth. Arranged by a seven-lender consortium, the upsized financing of approximately US$7.2 billion in Malaysia supports the continued development of its data center platform in Johor and builds on the approximately US$3.5 billion syndicated financing the company secured in May 2025. Since 2024, the company has raised over US$6 billion in equity across several financing rounds, alongside project financing from a broad roster of more than 30 local and global banking partners. DayOne's Billings have grown over eightfold in under two years, from 121MW at the end of 2024. The 1GW Billings milestone comes as DayOne's Bookings reached approximately 2.3GW [1]], up from 1.25GW at the end of 2025. In addition to the Bookings, DayOne also had 1.1GW [1]] of Reservations [3]] from customers. Jamie Khoo, Chief Executive Officer of DayOne, said, "The confidence our banking partners and customers have placed in DayOne is reflected in these milestones and underpins our continued growth. Together, their support has enabled us to unlock strategic capacity for the next generation of AI and cloud infrastructure. Our focus remains on earning that trust through responsible execution and bringing capacity online at speed and scale in the markets our customers need." DayOne acquires powered land and secures anchor customer commitments early on in its development process. Across its ten-market footprint, DayOne's Resources [5]] reached 4.6GW [1]], up from 2GW at the end of 2025. A key part of DayOne's growth strategy is to continue broadening and diversifying its customer base over time. Bookings came from 15 customers [1]], up from nine at the end of 2024. Four of its top five customers are with DayOne in multiple markets. Three hyperscale customers each have multi-market deployments of around or above 200MW. Most recently, DayOne has secured additional orders with one of its existing U.S. hyperscale customers. "By pioneering and scaling new markets, this conviction has shaped DayOne since inception, and it continues to guide how we grow," added Jamie.
