View

Winthrop Technologies acts as a European turnkey data centre constructor and general contractor, delivering end-to-end projects that cover design, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning services for hyperscale and colocation clients. Its approach centers on integrated delivery: projects are designed, built, and commissioned to meet mission-critical requirements, with BIM and off-site fabrication used to speed up delivery and reduce on-site complexity. The company differentiates itself through an engineer-led culture, early adoption of BIM and modular construction, and a focus on rapid delivery across eight European countries, complemented by a strategic Blackstone partnership that supports growth. Its goal is to build a scalable European data centre delivery platform that delivers high-quality, large-scale facilities while maintaining continuity in leadership and client relationships.

Winthrop Technologies receives British Safety Council International Safety Award.

Winthrop Technologies receives British Safety Council International Safety Award. Winthrop Technologies is proud to have received the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council, recognising outstanding Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) performance at its project site in Amsterdam. The 2026 International Safety Awards recognise organisations worldwide for excellence in preventing workplace injuries and illness, and for promoting overall wellbeing. Winthrop's achievement highlights the exemplary safety standards maintained and the robust safety record delivered despite an incredibly complex working environment. Located adjacent to the Schiphol Airport runway, the Amsterdam project operated under highly constrained conditions. The team successfully navigated strict airport controls and limited crane lift windows that were frequently rescheduled or cancelled due to changing air traffic. Through close coordination with airport authorities, the project team continuously adapted construction activities, ensuring safe operations while maintaining steady project progress. The award was accepted by Niall Tuffy, Regional H&S Manager, and Sean O'Sullivan, Project Manager, on behalf of the Amsterdam project team. "The British Safety Council applauds Winthrop on this achievement," said Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council. "The award recognises their commitment and hard work to keep employees and workplaces free of injury and ill health." This recognition reflects the resilience, professionalism, and deeply ingrained safety-first culture demonstrated by its team throughout the entire project lifecycle. Winthrop Technologies extends its warmest congratulations to everyone involved in achieving this outstanding result.
