Requirements
  • The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • The candidate must have three years of experience in a clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and two years of clinical-area experience, including at least one year in the area of specialty.
  • The candidate must hold a current Georgia Registered Nurse license, Nurse Compact license, or multistate license.
  • The candidate must hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Visual color acuity is required depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
  • Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Manager or Director.
  • Work with a unit-specific patient population.
Desired Qualifications
  • An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification in a specific unit, is preferred.
