  • Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • Strong time-management skills to enable on-time project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an analog integrated-circuit design team and own products from definition through release to manufacturing.
  • Assign work to team members, provide design guidance, develop schedules, and monitor project progress.
  • Evaluate intermediate and final project results during design and silicon evaluation to ensure technical objectives are achieved.
  • Work with physical designers, provide guidance, and monitor integrated-circuit layout progress.
  • Work with systems engineers, application engineers, and marketing to prepare product briefs, datasheets, and application notes; assist in defining products to meet customer needs; and contribute to roadmap formulation and new-concept creation.
  • Define intellectual-property test plans and execute them with product and test engineers.
  • Define and manage intellectual-property quality standards for industrial and automotive applications.
  • Collaborate with validation, product engineering, and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production.
  • Interface with customers and onsemi field sales or field applications teams to understand customer designs and problems, and provide support as required.
  • Participate in hiring, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient organizational operations and support individuals’ growth into leaders.
  • Provide technical leadership in driving architecture and circuit design based on high-level specifications.
  • Own the technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power-management integrated circuits, ranging from simple regulators to complex designs, control loops, and digital interfaces.
  • Understand project goals; create realistic schedules and resource plans; track execution against schedule; monitor progress; and ensure the team has clarity on goals and objectives.
  • Mentor analog integrated-circuit design engineers.
